For real? That track's ooolllldddd - over three years old! Great, though. Mix looks nice, too.

| #3 / Thu, 24 May 07 11:17 ah that hair... a tragic mistake from 2 years ago. i look like mrs slocombe from "are you being served" (70's brit sitcom ref - Ed). dunno why they didn't use the new fabric comissioned ones. drat. as for the carl craig mix of beanfield - listen to the mix before you kvetch, dudes. runs in key with panopeeps and then berghain for the whole thing. it's not about whether it was released 3 years ago (Liquid Liquid is on there too and that's ancient) - it's about the music. all the best, mr pearson.

| #5 / Thu, 24 May 07 12:07 "It's about the music" - true dat, EP. 'Tides' is indeed a great tune, but if you're talking about transitions, it'll be hard to beat the seven-layer dip of sound Sasha crafted on "Fundacion NYC", running 'Tides' into Kosmas Epsilon's 'Innocent Thoughts (Stel Remix)'. Best...mix CD moment...ever.

| #9 / Thu, 31 May 07 19:34 The mix is amazing, unbelievable very good! By the way I find it excellent to hear classics or older non obvious tracks that give you goosebumps. The moment when Tides begins and then Berghain strings come with it is one of those goosebumps moments. JZ and Nic F did that on their album one plus one too. Its about the music the message, what it makes you feel...thanks Ewan, excellent once again...im stil listening to your podcast.

 | RA Review ‘Fabric 35’ begins with brute force. One single thunderous bass drum pins down your attention forcibly, proving that less really can be more. In a climate where mixes are two a penny, and plenty cost even less than that, many listeners are lost in the first five minutes. But with that arresting drum..

If you think about the way someone like Ewan plays when he's in room one versus the various styles he's capable of (eg. what he did with the podcast)... they're barely on the same page.

Very true. The Fabric mix is very in your face. The Podcast is more laid back and subtile. It's this combination of talent that makes Pearson a truly great dj.

wanted to listen a few times before comment... think I heard Ewan skipped the queue on villalobos for this one... I'm glad of it too.
Ellen Allien and Pearson's mixes are the best Fabric mixes in ages, easily best of 2007
