| #1 / Wed, 19 Sep 07 14:42 Wow, a new one already. Claude Vonstroke at the controls was very disappointing, in my humble opinion, so maybe that has something to do with the quickness of this new installment of a once great mix series.

| #4 / Wed, 19 Sep 07 20:11 still I find james holden work to be the best up to date, agree that the claude one was not top notch, track listing sounds promising

| #6 / Wed, 19 Sep 07 20:32 I prefer the M.A.N.D.Y. mix over Holden's efforts, but he also delivered a great mix. I think Vonstroke isn't up to it. His Mixmag mix was shite and the At the controls cd's were average at best.

| #8 / Thu, 20 Sep 07 02:53 Agoria's 'Cute n Cult' mix from a cuppla years back is still one of the finest mixes my not-so-innocent-ears have ever swam in...
this looks tasty. Efdemin, Swayzack, Stephan Goldmann!

| #11 / Thu, 20 Sep 07 08:22 I'm looking forward to have this compilation. A short glance at the eclectic track list caught my attention, highly appreciate that Agoria is playing 'Belize' by Anja Schneider, 'Lunatic Fringe' by Stefan Goldmann and 'Dark Soldier' by Roland Appel. And many many other excellent tunes!!!

| #18 / Sat, 13 Oct 07 10:58 Of his fruitful union with ‘At The Controls’, Sebastien had the following to say: "It’s a double mix CD but it's not only two DJ mixes, it’s more like the soundtrack of my July summer tour. During one month of travels, festivals, meetings, parties and crazy mornings I’ve recorded lots of sounds, atmospheres, noises, talking humans and machines. Only the main ‘extra noises’ I added are featured on the tracklist, but there are lots of hidden sounds, noises and words everywhere on both CDs. I reworked many of those to marry them totally to the music. Thanks to all the people, animals, materials who allowed themselves to appear! It was really fun. This is baroque? This is the sixth finger!"
Must be tasty! Will be giving it a listen Soon! Agoria is one of those DJ's you have to keep an eye on. He has the ability to shock your ears every now and then

| #19 / Sun, 14 Oct 07 14:08 Must say that Agoria outdid himself on this one.
Won't review the whole release for now however I'd like to point out that CD II is probably one of the weirdest CD's I've ever heard. At some points, you start wondering what the fuck is happening and keep on listening to discover the meaning and sense of the sounds and elements you hear throughout the CD.

| #21 / Tue, 16 Oct 07 12:32 couldnt have put it better myself. while perhaps not as precise and technical as holden, there are points where i just didnt know where to look- a feature very difficult to achieve! definitely one of the best albums Ive heard in a long time

| #23 / Tue, 16 Oct 07 13:39 Heard both CD's now. REALLY like this release. Loved how the "mashed up sounds" came together.
BTW, Claude's ATC seems to be receiving alot of hate, and im confused why. Despite the inclusion of heater, i thought it had some dam fine tunes.

| #24 / Wed, 17 Oct 07 15:38 i can't compare it to Holden's one but this is pretty amazing compilation ! great one

| #28 / Sun, 21 Oct 07 21:06 one of the stand-out releases this year. the first disc is simply amazing. the second has some dull moments (too much use of ambient/noises), but is an interesting listen. mandys effort is still my favourite, but this comes a close second :-)

| #29 / Tue, 23 Oct 07 12:34 6 fingers at the controls!!!!just agoria can do something like this...for me, the best mix cd this year so far. MANDY it's really good, but now, in a second position.

| #31 / Wed, 07 Nov 07 13:54 (Edited: 7 Nov 07 18:24) This is just insanely good. Cd 1 rules, especially the segment wich mixes up Tuesday Paranoia/Smile & Receive/Losing the will to survive/Belize. Genius at work. Cd 2 is a bit less shiny, but anyone who incorparates Bauhaus' ancient Bela Lugosi's dead into a modern mix is worth of my money anyday. Very strong contender for mix of the year, in my humble opinion.

 | RA Review I think it is fair to say that inside almost every contemporary Parisian electronic visionary, from Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini to Mr Oizo and Busy P, is a closeted scruffy Goth. How else could you explain, for instance, Black Strobe’s obsession with death metal or Justice’s shameless borrowing..

| #33 / Thu, 08 Nov 07 01:48 fantastic review, Stephane.
i would listen to this record, but I got so put off by Agoria shoehorning Iggy's 'Nightclubbing' into the middle of his last one!
i'll have to give him another go

 |
| #35 / Thu, 08 Nov 07 02:32 Holden's ATC was tops, but this is just dope. Creative and fresh, Agoria just trumped on most, if not all mixed albums released this year... a trip that brings back that 'what just happened for the past hour n half ' feeling.

| #41 / Thu, 08 Nov 07 11:50 If this review was a car with a manual transmission, you're driving it like someone who never learned shift. Please hold back on excessive asides-in-parentheses...they are hugely distracting and give the whole thing a start-stop feel that gets really aggravating, really fast. Not to mention it's a little bit(pretentious?)

| #43 / Thu, 08 Nov 07 13:19 I disagree with your opinion about Claude VonStroke’s album, which i think is a great album. i love the at the controls series and I dont think claude let it down what so ever.
But i dot agree with your opinion about agoria's album, its awesome!

| #44 / Thu, 08 Nov 07 13:55 I like this CD. I don't know if I'd put it as five out five. I didn't think it particularly French either. I'll put the beret on and consider it again.
Review wise I think you could lose the first three paragraphs and trim the next one considerably. Would like more time reviewing the CD than discussing the series and context around it.

No, it's probably just a playlist mistake cos Arcadia it's the track 17 of the second cd that here is called "Point of "
