The cost is worth it as you are treated to a whole day of events, some great local and international talent, Tony Hawk done the 900!!
Also there was a little aussie dude who was so young but pulling off some awesome air
I definetly recommend it

So i dont know if i can fork out the 95 odd dollars for it

What a legend!!!! Complete insanity that move was. He started with a smaller gap and they just kept chopping bits off the ramp to widen the gap.

COMPETITION FORMATS: STREET QUALIFYING: 10 Heats – Up to 9 skaters per heat – 10 minutes practice total area, 5 minutes jam at 3 different sections of the course (to be decided). The top 3 skaters advance to next round. PRE-QUALIFIED SKATERS: Rodil Junior, the number 1 ranked skater from 2002 WCS World Rankings and Rick McCrank the winner of the 2002 event are pre-qualified to the finals. The next 5 skaters from 2002 WCS World Rankings, top 3 from North American Rankings and top 2 from European Rankings are pre-qualified to the semi-finals. TIME: Each heat is based on 10 minutes practice, 5 minutes at each of the 3 obstacles. Total Heat time 25 minutes. Up to 9 skaters per heat – top 3 advance from each heat. STREET SEMI-FINALS: 40 Skaters, 5 heats of 8, top 3 advance, 15 skaters advance to Finals plus two pre-qualified equals 17. FINALS: 17 Skaters, 2 – 1 minute 15 second runs, best run using the whole street course. Pay to 17th place. ________________________________________________________________________ VERT QUALFYING: Up to 36 skaters – 3 heats – 3 – 45 second runs, best run, 10 skaters advance to the finals. PRE-QUALIFIED SKATER: Andy MacDonald, the number 1 ranked vert skater from 2002 WCS World Rankings and Bucky Lasek, last year’s winner are pre-qualified to the finals, giving us 12 skaters in the finals. TIME: Each heat is based on 10 minute warm-up, 40 minutes for 3 runs for up to 12 skaters. Total time per heat- 50 minutes. FINALS: 12 Skaters, 3 (45 second runs), best run, pay to 12th place. GALLAZ Competition: 30 skaters – up to 6 heats – 5 girls per heat. 5 minute practice, 5 minute comp for each heat. Top 6 advance to finals. FINALS: 6 skaters in Final. 2 (60 second) runs, best run, Pay top 10.

Went and hung out on the grass next to the yarra instead. Had cool company too! =)

I felt so old there as well. =(
Pretty funny incident when one of the skaters threw his board into the crowd. Lots of 12yr olds punching each other up. The security guys had to get in there and sort it out.
Also, the security guys were telling kids off for running. No running allowed, can you believe it? I'm not sure how they expect kids to behave at an event like that.
