Posts / 105 RA Since / Oct 2006 Location / new york, ny | #10 / Wed, 19 Dec 07 00:59 hmmmm, dial at #1....well, at first was shocked to see it, but now that i think about it it makes perfect sense.
dunno about mobilee at #2, modern love at #3, and m-nus at #8, all of which, to me, are a bit high.
diynamic and cadenza are certainly top 10 or 5 for me, though.

Exactly....two releases so far doesn't even get them into the top 100 labels... Ridcage is a so so record, more of a DJ tool...and Desolat Records also picked it up. I Feel Speed only gets any props due to the Audion re-rub. Sorry to be negative...

Perspectiv
Simple Records
Infant Records
Both Connaisseur Recordings//Connaisseur Superieur had a good year, maybe not top ten tho.
Looking ahead...I'd say that next year
Supernature
Murmur
Desolat
will all have a good year.

New user Posts / 3 RA Since / Aug 2007 | #22 / Thu, 20 Dec 07 18:24 Think the results are pretty fair. Some top labels of the last years were kind of weak in 2007, and I'd include Cadenza and Innervisions in these. Also Perlon and Spectral were less powerful. On the other hand I'm happy junk labels didn't get the credit (like Simple/Aus who did nothing but buying in talent from remixers). Diynamic... consider it to be another Liebe Detail. Too early to get hyped. Don't understand the fuzz around this in here. Also great all the neo trance/deep house wave was widely kept off the chart! What's to watch out for in 2008? Surely more Dial, maybe Rekids, hope Perlon + Cadenza get up again. Minus was boring... would be great to have them back in better shape. Also having an eye on Macro... with just 2 releases (awesome though) it was definately too early to rave about in 2007 . (Desolat - are you kidding me? No one will talk about Dice in a year.)

Posts / 450 RA Since / Aug 2007 Location / The Hague, Netherlands | #32 / Fri, 21 Dec 07 15:01 I'd have to put in Cadenza, because even though they've had a couple of weaker records during the year, the volume of quality material that they've been turning out is seriously impressive. My favourite would be L Delay.
A smaller label deserving some attention is A.R.T.LESS, as well as its parent label Mojuba.
Finally, I loved all the Echospace releases.
If I had to take some labels of the list, it'd have to be Cocoon, Kompakt and Liebe*Detail. Kompakt I just generally dislike and the other two I find just didn't have enough quality releases in comparison to the labels I named before.

Good well written list though (great to see a label from my hometown of Manchester in the list (Modern Love), easily the best dance site on the tinternet.

I agree with everything you wrote (considered each of those labels too)

Posts / 123 RA Since / Apr 2007 Location / Washington, DC | #37 / Sat, 29 Dec 07 07:54 Compared to the sorry excuse for a top ten albums list this is a much better pick of labels. Modern Love should get much props as should get physical (even if I'm not that into them). I echo backlashing's astonishment of the missing cadenza. If this is a list of electronic, not just dance labels though, I would have added Kranky and Touch, both stalwart labels that with each new release prove their unerring value to the genre, and Type which dispite its lack of coverage in the press has proved itself an up-and-comer in the experimental genre. Still though, for a top ten of dance labels this seems pretty darned good.
