| #3 / Mon, 24 Dec 07 15:59 Haven't listened to all of them yet however Id agree with the list pretty much. Have to say one of the podcasts Ive gone back to many times was the Sven Weismann one, yes even with all the mad mixing Lol. I just loved the tracks he chose and you get the feeling he was having a blast doing it

| London’s world-renowned fabric nightclub is a juicy peach? A crisp apple? No,an onion. It has many layers and a soundsystem of such clarity that it’s been known to bring people to tears.......

Posts / 112 RA Since / Oct 2006 Location / Berlin | #5 / Mon, 24 Dec 07 16:58 Joris Voorn is THE man! DIXON was my summer soundtrack. Had also lots of fun with Joakim`s mix.
And for the most disapointing podcast of the year: RITON

Posts / 27 RA Since / Jun 2006 Location / Barcelona | #12 / Mon, 24 Dec 07 20:17 quite predictable as always, many podcasts made their homework. Wouldn't be polite, but much easier, to list the worsts. It all depends on how, when and in what mood any of us listened to them. just to pick up a few, with no special order (well, chronological): MANDY was quite a nice introduction to 2007 minimalizing it more with Excercise One. Stephan Bodzin was a very good discover for me, that dark sound, even considering that was not a good dj set, but the tracks made them for me. freaky sounds and selection by Joakim, but expected. Arriving to Dixon's housy deep house podcast, delicious. Alex Smoke was superminimal and that was ok with me, but Ripperton made a very good job, nice tracks, nice set. I didn't paid much attention to Joris Voorn, but now I will, so then came Samim with a very fun mix, very playable, middle of summer, in his peak. Anja Schneider was very solid, reminded me of Troy Pierce in her minimal dark set. very good, but as said, I found it repeated. Fantastic set of Deadbeat, not a typical podcast, but fresh sounds to the collection, I have walked through the city a lot with this one. Chloé is a favourite of me, but her podcast was an average one, average in the good ones. Tyger Dhula breaks the minmal tendency of the podcasts for good, more jazzy, more soul, more melodies to the selection. Brendon Moeller was fantastic, Underworld was surprisingly good and Mike Vamp is the one going with me these days. I don't care about the best, the tops or whatever, I just care to have my podcast everyweek!!!!! I love every Monday's surprise, the need to listen to them quickly, to make my thoughts about, to read the comments and to hope to find a piece of art in the dj set's world. Continue with the education program, continue because we adore RA excellent job, thank you 1000 times.

| #17 / Mon, 24 Dec 07 22:46 Yup that Joris Voorn was pretty magical. Am happy to see it win over the recent deep house fetish the scene is under...Definitely enjoyed Dixon and Efdemin but I really feel like might be getting a bit too obsessed with "deepness"...Is deep house the new mnml??? I actually am probably one of the few who really, really enjoyed Future Loop Foundation and Sven Weiseman. Also thought Alex Smoke and Mike Vamp were sick. Oh and Robotnick was a greal old school mix. All around thanks so much and keep them coming!

Rabid boredom Posts / 1116 RA Since / Sep 2007 Location / Land of Ire | #19 / Mon, 24 Dec 07 23:01 Brendon Moeller, Deadbeat and Prins Thomas mainly because they proved eclecticism needn't be po-faced. The Underworld one was great too and I agree with anyone who thought Sven Weisemann's track selection papered over the cracks in his mixing style. Now to catch up with all the ones I missed... Cheers RA

Posts / 202 RA Since / Jun 2006 Location / Dublin | #20 / Tue, 25 Dec 07 01:59 efdemin's podcast was my favourite by miles....I don't really care about efdemin as a producer. it's fine but not my absolute favourite stuff, but his podcast had so much good music on it and was so discerning.
