Clark has released a short mix of several of the tracks on Turning Dragon on his website: www.throttleclark.com/
Sounds like Aphex Twin having a menage a trois with Akufen and Isolee in a sleazy Skid Row whorehouse. Pretty interesting but the radio dialing feedback in some parts makes it really hard to crank up the volume.

Nevertheless the difference between it and the rest of the e-dance scene makes it a really refreshing release, especially coming from Clark whose last album, in my opinion, sounded like the stale Bsides of Empty the Bones of You.

RA Review
Chris Clark signed to Warp when he was still at university and released a debut album ( Clarence Park ) that drew comparisons with the label’s finest, Autechre and Aphex Twin. Later he assumed the same elusive air as these dark figures by dropping the Chris, and cloaking himself in the connotations..

Yeah I heard the samples on warpmart and it sounded quite sick...excited about getting it. I agree with bareklik above, besides "Ted", the prior album was a bit boring. "Ted" (and its insane video!) hinted at future greatness...seems like this might deliver.

Never even heard of this guy but after watching that youtube vid I'm really impressed (and that's an euphemism) Downloading the mix atm.

Alright 6 mins isn't really a mix... still it sounds amazing. Badger

Absolutely amazing album. Deserves 6/5 for production value alone.

First I heard Throttle Promoter - and there was very nice track Dixie Pixie, so I expected that sound of upcoming Turning Dragon will be like that... but Clark even didnt include this track to album and I was really disappointed, because he move further. Very noizy thing. 4 is a true rating.

Very impressive album! Interesting to see clark in unexpecting places.
Some of these tracks are really close to old school industrial hardcore ...very powerfull album, You can still recognize clark's genius. The production here is huge!

Congrats!

My favourite clark's album is still"Empty the bones of you" but this album deserves a 4,5/5...easily

RAVE ON!
