Completely agree...Caspa & Rusko were a strange choice for me...never really heard much from them until now...although I must say the first and last 4 tracks are exceptional imo...the rest is standard dark dubstep wobble unfortunately...

I disagree...I thought that this album was ace: 4/5 for me.

The REVIEW is ace! This album is complete rubbish - one of the worst of the Fabric series - they better not continue at this level or my subscription will be history.

I thought it was rather nice. Always been fascinated with grime/dubstep's OTT bass sounds. 3.5/5 from me

Im not too much a fan of the over hyped dubstep movement, but I willingly gave this album a chance to change my views. Completely agree with the review, this is probably the most monotonous albums I have ever heard

Given that Caspa and Rusko weren't even on the radar until very close to the release of the mix, I suspect that Fabric were let down by someone and had to find something to fill in for a month. This is the result, it seems.

I missed out on this mix on account of moving house just as it was due to be delivered, and based on the previews I've listened to, that's not a bad thing.

I heard it was Justice that let Fabric down, hence why Caspa and Rusko got the gig. Pity, would have been interesting.

Yeah, apparently Justice gave them a mix, but it was only 45 minutes long. Fabric rejected it, so Justice had to make up another album and they couldn't do it on such short notice. That's what I heard...

They will probably use the aborted mix for the 'Radio Promo'

Damn that Justice CD would have probably been sick! Yeah I was confused that they chose Caspa & Rusko as well considering they've had Digital Mystikz and Skream play at Fabric several times and they would have probably done a sinister job of putting out a Fabric dubstep CD...ah well...The funny thing abt this CD is that Enya sounding track at the beginning. Its crazy!

I read on Discog that Fabric wasn't satisfied by the Playlist proposed by Justice. This has to be confirmed.

Delighted Justice missed it!!!!!! Fanny gay music that they come out with melts the head. Loved this mix. Thought it was Dark, Dirty, Chunky with a bit of attitude. Nice at times too. Although it may be inconsistent at times i still think its quality. A 4 for me.

I thought it was a fairly good mix of party jamz, but i do agree with the reviewer that it gets a bit monotonous in the middle. Was glad to hear fabric mixing it up a bit w/ genres though and I won't mind when this one comes up in the shuffle for some time to come. At least it wasn't another breakbeat fabriclive mix!

That born to do it track at the start is pretty great.

I didn't know anything about it but DJ gave it a good review so I tried it. I'd give it 3/5. It makes a change from my usual tech-house/minimal/techno diet, but it'll date very quickly and those Snatch samples will mean I get sick of it fast. The tracks are all too short - it could have done with less of them, with each staying in the mix a bit longer. A bit of firm executive production might have helped rein in the excesses.

i too heard Justice's fabriclive mix was so bad it got pulled but that it was Noisia that stepped in - and not a bad effort at all !

i have given the C&R fabric mix many many go's and sometimes i get it, but the fact it hasnt been out for 9 months probably says it all

I thought the CD was slamming!! I usually think that the other dubstep
(ala Burial style) is more artistic(brilliant in some ways) but I cant see anybody really dancing to it here in the states...that style of dubstep is more cerebral(like Kode 9, Ramadanman for instance and some Loefah) but on the dance floor I like the tear-your-head off, grimy, get in your hips bass shit!!

I do agree though as a DJ I would probably throw in some lighter material
just to give people a break from the sonic assault ( as they say to DJ's play to the girls not to the guys - and this music was pure testosterone)
but I still think this CD was great!!!

first of all, it isnt that important to know where something came from.
maybe this album is a little flat and not so expirimental, but who cares?
do these tunes work at the dancefloor? certainly
it is all about getting people in the right mood, thats all music needs to do,
we create genres to distingiush ourselfs, and to be creative but all those genres still have sad songs and dance songs and bouncy songs, all kind of stuff like that.
so while this isnt the most deep album ever brought out, it sure as hell gets me in the mood to go dance, and thats something burial or kode9 didnt do for me, great to listen to but not for dancing.

Also, you complain about 2 N A Q, and i read a lot of people do,
i don't see the point, people call it boring and weird,

but at the same time you are praising being expirimental, but where do you draw the line?
when is something weird or hard to follow and when is something experimental?

i think it is a vague border that doesnt actully exist, but only in our heads, formed by our taste.
so before you put a review online try to see behind the music, and try to figure out what they intended to make in the first place, and if that worked, then it is a good album

I don't typically like this that much anymore but, back when this came out it was fresh for alot of people I believe.

This is the mix that got me into the "wobble style" dubstep.... I liked it for around 6months or so but started getting into Burial more and vex'd ya know the good stuff.

But I think Nosia style dubstep and this style "caspa and rusko" kind of influenced skrillex and deadmau5 alot which killed the scene in America.

The dubstep in the U.S. that people like is fucking shit fa real... Ya know Nero and flux pavaiillion w/e bullshit. I liked a couple of there first tracks but now they all sucks... Dubstep as we know it is gone really.
