| #1 / Tue, 15 Jan 08 15:07 unusual choice, but fair play, i'm all for this kind of interesting angle.
Having not seen (or heard of) them djing it will at the very least be interesting on that level.

| #2 / Tue, 15 Jan 08 19:13 I wonder if it'll be protooled or a live mix...
I have very low hopes for this mix.
I've heard a few DJ sets they did on local college and indie radio stations in the US a year or two back. The choice of tracks was interesting but not terribly coherent in terms of their order, and I wasn't impressed with their mixing skills. The mixes can't hold a candle to their live music anyway.
So I think the set will be mediocre-to-average at best.
In this case though, I'd love to be proved wrong.

| #4 / Wed, 16 Jan 08 05:16 This is gonna end up like a 'back to mine' compilation
but the track-listing looks interesting... I reckon this could be pretty good if its got any coherence

 | RA Review When rumors started floating around the interwebs that Canadian electropopsters Junior Boys were about to take charge of the latest Body Language mix on Get Physical, a few eyebrows were raised. First establishing itself as a self-promotional vehicle for the label’s own artists (M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T.)..

| #13 / Sun, 24 Feb 08 17:08 i really liked this mix! one of the best mixes i have heard in a couple months.
Chelonis R.Jones - Deer In the Headlights (Dj Hell remix) is the highlight for me.

hum... Not really in my opinion. It's far less coherent than a M.A.N.D.Y mix, you can see it's closer to a "fave tunes" selection than to a real Get Physical mix. I'm quite disappointed by this Body Language 6, the Radioslave track is too good and it basically kills the rest of the mix because after it nothing comes close in terms of deepness. I would have preferred something sticking to one genre and not weirdly switching from a dark creepy good Chloe's track to a very forgettable Bill Nelson. Not a bad record but you'll find more interesting stuff on free podcasts... (who sayd RA's? )

I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one here who dislikes this kind of mixing. The whole 'eclectic' thing I find tiring as hell, as it destroys any flow/mood that was set by the previous track(s). Might work fine for partying or pre-party drinks, but I was expecting something smoother from Get Physical.

Haha, I wish it was. But who owns otters anyway? ^^ I think the problem is that kind of mix is that it lacks coherence, the first things I did after hearing it was downloading the original tracks I liked on it. It's not that I'm not interested in some artists' tastes but you cannot make a good mix out of any list of tracks. Just listen to the transition between Matthew Dear and Pushe: it's not only technically weak, it's also a weird choice to go from one to the other.

| #17 / Mon, 03 Mar 08 15:24 Agreed - don't find much flow in this album and some of the mixing is a bit sketchy. Probably my least favourite body language

| #18 / Tue, 18 Mar 08 00:32 I was really looking forward to this as i love the Junior Boys. I find when mixes are on offer from artists who aren't really DJ's that the results can be great. Examples are Erlend Oye's and Booka Shade's DJ Kicks albums that were both exciting and eclectic whilst still managing to sound coherent.
This however is not. It has some great tracks and does have its moments but as mentioned before is full of dodgy mixing and tracks that just don't go together.
Disappointing.
