| RA Review Partial Arts have now made two dance singles for Kompakt that aren't very danceable, each time backed with a more floor-friendly remix. Obviously Al Usher and Ewan Pearson have little interest in club bangers, but it’s the way Partial Arts skews dance conventions with unusual combinations that makes..

| #2 / Thu, 21 Feb 08 22:15 crap review. it completely misses the point: the radio slave remix deserves a comment -anyone ever heard the 'experimental techno' expression?-, and the original is one of the most intriguing and enojayeble takes on the ongoing update of past cosmic influences. Less Ibiza, more open mind, kids.

| #3 / Thu, 21 Feb 08 23:28 I really like the radio slave remix. his sound design, as usual, is amazing. the live drum samples in combination with the spacious reverbs sound dark and menacing. the track is a whopping 12 minutes long. 7 minutes would have been ok with me.
i salute some experimentation in a time when every fucking track sounds like another variation of oxia's "domino"...

| #6 / Fri, 22 Feb 08 12:29 How can (with it's reviewers) give a release like this 2 1/2 / 5 and Zinga 4/5.... ??? Its a beautiful track, and the Radio Slave remix is again a production beyond everything. However, it is a track made for a little more detailed oriented audience..

| #8 / Sat, 23 Feb 08 16:17 I have to say I disagree with this review. This release, unlike a lot of stuff I hear coming from the techno/dance scene today, actually feels like music-that the people creating it poured their hearts into it. Partial Arts is not going to throw something together in a couple of weeks and send it to Kompakt for pressing, because that's not how music should be made.
Needless to say, I think the original track is genius, one of the best releases of the year for me so far. While I wouldn't take a bullet for the remix, it is serviceable and far from what the review makes it out to be. If you haven't heard this stuff, give it a listen before brushing it off. Well worth your time.

Thought this, especially the original, was a standout 12. We need more records like this.
