| #15 / Wed, 14 May 08 17:58 Fantastic album. Saw these guys do a live P.A. in Miami during WMC...was blown away with how much fun it was. Great music to dance, laugh, and get crazy. Check out Sascha Funke's remix of Danse Avec Moi as well...very niice.

| #19 / Thu, 15 May 08 15:51 I think 'breath of fresh air' is a good description for this, because, let's face, most (not all) of the excursions into minimal house/tech have become suffocatingly boring.

| #23 / Thu, 15 May 08 20:38 This is one of the best albums of the year, so far, along with 'Turning dragon' by Clark and Terry Lee Brown Junior´s 'Softpack'. Great year for the electronic music!

| #25 / Fri, 16 May 08 08:17 love the album but its nothing new, the whole thing sounds like what matthew herbert was doing 3/4 years ago especially on the the cafe de flore ep and the big band album. christ even his wife dani siciliano is on it

| #26 / Fri, 16 May 08 09:02 Straight I could see your point in that sonically Noze draw on some of the same influences as Herbert, and obviously Herbert is a massive innovator whose influence is felt everywhere, not just in this album. But there are two massive massive differences and the first is the messy hedonism of Noze's aesthetic versus Herbert's more otaku perfectionist vibe and the second is that Herbert treats vocals as an instrument generally, rather than as a strong song (with a couple of noteworthy exceptions) whereas Noze are very song-focused. So I think it's a stretch to say that in totality they are similar.

| #28 / Sat, 17 May 08 11:19 i dont know, id say theres a pretty loose, boozy atmosphere on cafe de flore and his recent album 'scale', of which danse avec moi could have been taken from. Dani sicilianos voice is so significant of herberts work its hard not see such a connection, plus he has been leaving vocals untreated of late on dani's and roisin murphys records. and you can hardly call a man who's motto is 'lets make mistakes' a perfectionist

| #29 / Sat, 17 May 08 14:26 All points taken but personally I find his sound far more 'clean' - it's a two gin and tonics kind of sound as opposed to the six pints of beer and two pints of sweat vibe you get from Noze...
We can agree to disagree but I think you'll see Noze getting a lot of attention this year...

... and it ROCKS. @ Rich - surprised you like Slum Girl? That & Childhood Blues were my least favourite tracks on the album. Little bug and L'Inconnu du Placard were the stand-out tracks for me, with You Have to Dance (which sounded to me to me like something out of the musical "7 brides for 7 brothers") and Remember Love hot on their heels. But whichever way you cut it, yeah "breath of fresh air" is already a Nôze review cliche, because it's true.

| #39 / Tue, 20 May 08 12:40 Where can i get a copy of slum girl without the vocal??? The one that Booka used on their DJ kicks. The production work is amazing and prefer it to the vocal mix on the album!!
It is a fantastic album tho!!
