| #4 / Wed, 09 Apr 08 13:22 Great WMC review guys, so glad I was there....and nice to relive those funny moments. Completely forgot about Loco Dice w/ the bubble wrap and star confetti but what about the ribbons?! In any case the bubble wrap kept me amused for just a little bit Soldiers indeed!

I'd definitely recommend going for WMC. Great fun and so much more variety music wise. As far as the sound I can vouch for the review, the sound was pretty bad

| #12 / Thu, 10 Apr 08 01:03 amazing review. if it was your job to make readers who were unable to make an appearance to WMC 08 feel like shit, you accomplished it very well. Im happy the ra stuff was there becuz without the party reviews, venue info, and pictures of a platypus from lee burridge, i would have no idea what went on.
what about promos from labels and djs. anywhere to find those. im sure some new hot tracks are bubbling around somewhere

| #13 / Thu, 10 Apr 08 03:25 Fav tune from miami was: Laurent Garnier - Back To My Roots - Innervisions
Best music... chilling out at Opium with Ame/Dixon/Marcus taking turns in the main room + DJ Harvey in the back.
Best party... Sunday School for Degenerates.
Marathon award goes to Lee Burridge. Doing 28hr at the Pawn Shop. From sound check for the Barrage til the end of Degenerates.

| #15 / Thu, 10 Apr 08 05:17 Nice favs Paul. My take on it: Fav Tune: Sebastien San - Rising Sun (C2 Edit)
Best music...Sebo K's fantastic set at Sunday School
Best party...AM Only. I'm sorry SSFD fanatics but Steve Bug and Guy Gerber's sunrise sets on the terrace were just too ridiculous!

| #23 / Fri, 11 Apr 08 00:15 Thoroughly enjoyed to Mobilee party at the Townhouse..Pan-pot played a great set with Sebo K following and for those who stayed, Anja Schneider did a great job of playing some decent grooves. Ben Watt and David Morales played good sets at Shine, Lawler was decent on the beach, Satoshi Tomiie was a dreadful disappointment. Nic Fanciulli and James Zabiella were decent at the Beatport Remix party, as was Deadmau. Big disappointment was the no show of the Canadian DJ's scheduled to play the Shelbourne in the Canada loves Miami Sexonwax party..no show also for Dave Seaman at the Shelbourne...some decent dj's in the Shelbourne Lounge...
Oakenfold with a symphony was a joke...the symphony was nice and Mansion and lovely venue..he was pathetic..get over yourself and cut your hair..
Loco Dice...bravo, Gui Boratto and Guy Gerber..well done..
Missed Cobblestone Jazz, Steve Bug and Acquaviva but flew home with some of them and other top dj's so got to rub a few shoulders...have a chat...you know
weather was fine, too many plastic people and far too much silicone for my liking...like it down and dirty...keep it simple...its about the music and sic beats...too many people out to look beautiful as opposed to being serious about hearing good music and watching some of the worlds top dj's smoke the decks..
Did not do Ultra and do not regret it..smaller venues are more intimate, offer opportunities to hear some less well known but often super talented dj's...
will I go again, absolutely, will I stay in South Beach, nope, will do the small bars/hotels, Beatport Remix - yes...and dig once again for hidden gems..
cheers from Canada!

| #24 / Fri, 11 Apr 08 00:51 Best Tune: Whatever of the name of the new Audion tune is that is being released in a few months.
Best Party: Everything I did on Sunday
Best Set: Dixon at Sunday School (Ralf at Mobilee and Ryan + Matthew on Sunday was good too)
Best Moment: Every minute I get to spend with my friends (hugs)
Worst Moment: Face planting through Saturday Night's parties
|
| |
 |
| #25 / Fri, 11 Apr 08 06:58 Best party: minimoo morning sets by butane & magda vs. konrad black (small but fun outdoor party leading into sunday school).
Best set: matthew dear at SSD
Best idea: getting hooked up w/ half off bracelets for AM only for me and my friends.
Worst moment: Finding out that the romainians and argy were not showing up for sunday school.

I'm right there with you Party Fowl, wtf were we thinking on Saturday night? Maybe it was all of those tasty beverages at Mobilee and the yacht that did me in.....or maybe it was the tasty sandwich at La Sandwichiere (Group Hug)

Next @ Klubnacht | #34 / Tue, 15 Apr 08 22:10 Good reviews for the most part, only a tad unfortunate that almost every reviewer makes it seem like the parties started and stopped during their time there. Some serious DJs and sets are left out completely...

| #35 / Thu, 17 Apr 08 23:31 yes, it's unfortunate that the reviewers can't be everywhere, all the time, and recall everything whilst trying to enjoy miami a little bit.... it's just their take on the party, take it easy, no one wins or loses because of a reviewer being there and recalling it 7 hennessey spritzers into the day, it's actually probably for the better

| #37 / Fri, 18 Apr 08 01:43 That goes back to this quote: quote: "worst party: Deamon days @ the delano, beacause no one was there, Carl was excellent."
Free hennessey and a private performance by CC? I attended much worse affairs that week. The Delano is a beautiful hotel and pool... it's just not really setup as a place to party in miami. The girls on the door didn't even know the name 'Demon Days' on the day of the Carl Craig party. Did any of those parties get busy? Roland Appel played some great music that afternoon too.
