| #15 / Fri, 11 Jul 08 16:41 I went and it sucked. That said, SE One is a waaay, waaay more accomodating venue for a M_nus party than the place they had it in Detroit. Also, just expect a standard M_Nus party with a stupid roof of glittery lights + a tiny LED covered cube shoved in a random corner. My honest opinion is if you like the standard M_Nus showcase shows then you'll have a good time...Just don't go expecting more than what you're used to (as is suggested by the hype and price)

| #17 / Thu, 17 Jul 08 11:04 I went to Contakt at Sonar and was very disappointed. 4 hours at peak time needs to go somewhere and it didnt imo. The m_nus party at Row 14 more than made up for it. Best party I went to. Amazing venue and the music was superb. Not your standard line up either. Ambivalent live, Barem live, Konrad Black, Paco Osuna, Troy Pierce and Matthew Dear b2b and then Hawtin came on at 6am in the terrace with the sun shining.

| London’s world-renowned fabric nightclub is a juicy peach? A crisp apple? No,an onion. It has many layers and a soundsystem of such clarity that it’s been known to bring people to tears.......

 |
| #18 / Thu, 17 Jul 08 20:45 M_nus has gone so wanky. Wish they'd just do what they do so well, play techno, and leave the pretentious shite alone!

Couldn't agree more. I can understand the need to push the brand when the market is ever tightening, but glowing cubes that we buy membership cards to communicate with? WTF?! Still, look at that line up....I think Troy Pierce and Gaiser are the pick of the m_nus bunch these days. Richie's not too bad either

| #21 / Thu, 17 Jul 08 22:15 Was this the one about a year ago? If so I thought it was awful so incredibly hot and the sound was pretty off, I left before Hawtin finished. SEone really is a horrible venue imo.

| #24 / Thu, 31 Jul 08 07:55 doubt this'll rock as hard as their gig at Sonar: SE1 is a shi* hole. It surprises me that Richie would even consider playing in a den like this, honestly the sound is appauling and as someone said below gets stupidly hot. Bad move Sven...err..i mean Richie ( and take that dress off mate! )

| #47 / Wed, 27 Aug 08 08:12 (Edited: 27 Aug 08 08:29) wow there's a lot of bile on these forums, you woulda thought people would treat this whole concept as a bit of a novelty. as soon as someone mentions a cube everyone starts slagging them off lol they're still all playing the same Minus stuff they normally do, so its all good in my eyes, looking forward to see Richie n the gang as usual. come on you cynics lets get back to enjoying the music

He is the kind of superstar DJ who arrived at Field Day in a black limousine and got the red-carpet treatment because the stage was slippery. wtf!!!

| #49 / Wed, 27 Aug 08 17:03 The choice of venue says it all. Tacky as hell with a crap soundsystem, but HUGE ($$$). Seems like the m_nus brigade have totally lost the plot (and any remaining underground credentials). People will lap it up though. Oh dear :-)
|
| |
 |
| #50 / Wed, 27 Aug 08 17:05 (Edited: 27 Aug 08 22:09) P.S. Perhaps Richie and the gang should focus a little more on internal quality control (minus circa 2008 largely = zzzzzzzz) and a little less on stadium-techno gimmickry... Just my humble opinion.
