| #1 / Sun, 03 Aug 08 03:53 why not just use 'Penis' instead of 'P'?
Always loved their stuff, a release on 2020 should be promising.

| #2 / Sun, 03 Aug 08 23:30 because penis is seen by many a conservative as a swear word, and therefore means that any band with the name penis or cunt doesn't get any radio/tv play or review in tabloid press etc etc

 | RA Review The disco narrative usually articulates itself around two anchoring points: The Philly Sound axis on one hand, built on MFSB's "Love Is the Message" and Tom Moulton expansive live-sounding production and remixing techniques, and the post-Moroder, synthesized one that counts "I Feel Love"'s frozen sh..

| #5 / Wed, 15 Oct 08 17:58 Review makes some valid points on the good/bad points. I'd give it a 3 / 5, because it has some very good tracks on there, but the vocal can be a little OTT sometimes.
Have liked the Crazy Penis guys for ages, and think this is a good modernised effort on their sound.
Funnily enough the first time i listened to this was at home, and on a sat arvo.

| #6 / Wed, 15 Oct 08 19:11 its other people who tend to pigeon hole a sound. dont think crazy p would consider themselves worthy of a comparison. however m people-steady now! stephane makes some good points but needs to get out from up his own arse. see the remixes of crazy p from maurice fulton, unabombers and llorca which offer dub versions. my anty bought the album today-then again she listens to radio 2 and is old enough to be a grandmother-but she loves it! x

| #7 / Thu, 16 Oct 08 08:56 I'd give the review a 1,5/5 Seems like reviewing records just to showcase one's personal knowledge about certain musical genres, styles, developments or contexts, people tend to concentrate on name-dropping and categorizing songs into deadlocked pigeonholes learnt by heart. I'm pretty sure the band here won't care too much if their music is played or unplayed in whatever ultra-puristic club environment and they'll probably not feel ashamed if the album is listened to on a saturday evening (whilst professional ravers rather identify that mystic and sophisticated unknown track Ricardo played last weekend on youtube) aswell. A pity an author's ego again camouflages the few good objective points, which seems to become a trademark of certain reviewers.

| #8 / Fri, 17 Oct 08 10:48 People are entitled to their own opinion. However, much the journalism on this review is ill informed and the tone of the article betrays a lack of skill on Girard's part.
It goes downhill straight away as Girard attempts to convince me of his knowledge of disco, immediately coming across as self indulgent and pretentious.
Crazy P dropped the 'enis' over 2 years ago and mentioning that here is sloppy. Furthermore the M People reference is quite frankly ludicrous.
Girard drops so many names his subtext may as well read 'please think that I know a lot about music'. He' probably does but when a review sounds like a personal ad it loses the reader who just ends up thinking the writer, in this case Girard, is up his own arse. And in this industry, chances are, he is.
