Headhunter - Nomad cover
RA Review
The question always arises when a producer emerges with a rapid flurry of 12-inches as to whether they can translate their vision to the album format. With Nomad , Headhunter assuredly puts any such doubts to rest. Under the tutelage of drum & bass stalwart Tech Itch, this Bristolian first made rip..

Fantastic album from one of my best producers in dubstep at the moment. Well done Headhunter.

Well done, genre-challenging dubstep. I'm really enjoying this album.

The Headhunters are a popular jazz-funk fusion band, best known for their albums they recorded as a backing band of jazz keyboard player Herbie Hancock during the 1970s. Hancock's debut album with the group, Head Hunters, is one of the best-selling jazz or fusion records of all time.

The perfect blend of minimal techno-esque absurdity, super deep melacholic dub chords and ultra heavy bass, tied together with super high production value. Exactly what I want to hear. Double Plus Good.

Dubstep / dub techno cross-pollination is all good in my book. Lovely atmospherics with ripped basslines can't be a bad thing, can it? Nice work HH!

Just my new kind of style. :-)

individual tracks nice, wearing as a front to back listen. the tracks from the grounded 12" & 'you say' are enough for me.

Have you heard his track Axis (b-side to Physics Impulse)? It's sort of like what 2562 does to dubstep, but using psytrance instead of techno - he might have inaugurated a subgenre there...
