| #11 / Sat, 15 Nov 08 13:42 I didn't have high expectations for Metro Area's mix album after I saw them beat-tap mixing on the cdj1000's in Room 3 some time ago. Not that you have to be villalobos esque in your beatmatching skills to put some good mixes together, but people who are good at beatmatching tend to be good DJ's and vice versa....

| #45 / Wed, 14 Jan 09 13:55 This release get such hit and miss reviews! I'd give it a 4/5 for being so well constructed in terms of flow of mixing and having a distrinct beginning, middle and end. The last 3 tracks bookend proceedings with a nice melodic twist after the early tech-edged sonic onslaught... the Orbital track is expertly placed as well and give something unique to the mix.
Some say this is bland but Tejada is all about the groove and the monotonous driving techy stuff, but he does it so well and with a lot of energy and intricacy.

I gave it several tries. But I just don't feel it. really dissapointed. it's not the track selection 'cause its great, its just that the mixing is so...I dunno ... forced?
I'm just gonna try forget about this slip-up by mr tejada because he is a great dj and a great producer.
