Two of his own tracks- these people are shameless.

why shameless, it's common, all the djs used to put one or two own track in the mixes. i like the tracklist by the way, the last few fabric parts were good, hope this one will be nice as well.

really stoked for this. Barclay came out to minneapolis in December and blew the roof off to a sold out crowd. a real being - a true techno soldier.
One of my all time fave DJs/Producers.

Having met Aundy in person - im pretty excited to hear that too mobilee! If the track is anything like the person It is sure to be sweet!

These people are also producers that create music for themselves to play in their sets.

Big up VonStroke!!! Looking forward to this...

Awww, was hearing that one track too gimmicky for you? How about the rest of his set? How long did he play for?

Give me a break.

Very much looking forward to this. If Fabric's standards are slipping, then I guess my standards are slipping

What the hell?

Are you trying to say that if you produced and released your own stuff, that you wouldnt actually play your own stuff, because thats shameless?

Jesus christ...

The fact he played one of his own tunes is not my issue. My issue is he cant mix, play a set that has any sort of structure to it. It may of been a one off, maybe hes the best dj in the world, and i caught him on a bad day. maybe... (Played for two hours)

when i go to fabric i dont expect to hear tunes that pete tong plays

i'm with Jerome Cox. Not interested but, sadly, I'll get a copy anyway as I've been a subscriber to the Fabric series since August 1999. The first volume - Richards' - came out in Nov. 1999.

von Stroke isn't anything to crow about. His 'At the Controls' and Mixmag mixes were both awful so I don't expect much from this at all.

Sure I'll be running it down to the second-hand store for store credit...

I still play the first one to this day....such a good mix, took me a long time but i think i managed to track down dubby disco in about 2003...killer track!

yeah see that's what we need more of in the Fabric series: volumes like:

Richards #1
Francis #2
Doc Martin #10
Hipp-E and Halo - #7
Robert Hood
Marco Carola

....need some more folks in Chicago house (Jason Hodges? Diz? Inland Knights? Sneak?) and more folks in the Detroit techno strain (Beyer? Daniel Bell? Rolando?) to be picked up for volumes...

I do have a subscription to both series, agill you dumb fucknut.

It was a simple oversight...understandable considering there's been 45 volumes now in the non-Live series and my entire life doesn't revolve around semantics.

yes I know Carola's done a volume as well.

That's why he's listed in the area of my earlier post with folks who've already done volumes....

christ, do some of you take so much fucking drugs you can't read a post?

I think you're overreacting to be honest, no need to swear they were simply pointing out a mistake.

I'm looking forward to this mix.

to those that are slamming on CVJ about including his tracks in the mix, and him in general.

I'd really love to:

A - hear your chart topping tracks
B - know about and hear the label that you run that is your livelihood
C - hear your mix that you did for Fabric

Seriously, people really love to hate on people that are successful and that 'make it' in this scene when they aren't. I bet they hate minus too.

If you don't like what he does why don't you just

BRING IT.

When ive heard Layo and bushwacka play they haven't once played Love Story and this is my point. Steve Bug, Carola, Luciano all play there own stuff and their own label tunes, but their CURRENT, not two years old. Fair enough if i was in a Liquid or Oceana club, but i was in fabric.

Why dont you go to the tate and shove a brick up your arse

I guess VonStroke's mistake was believing that Fabric would be be a place for clubbers and music lovers who enjoyed dancing, rather than a gathering point for fine-art critiques and arbiters of credibility...

I do appreciate the value of hearing new stuff. but if i'd created something as brilliant as WOAD, I'd be reluctant to let it fade into the past and be forgotten about...
