Sam identified what's becoming the greatest obstacle stopping me from liking Johnny D: so many of his productions sound like unfinessed mash ups which don't necessarily fit together (see also: "Requiem Of A Dream"). His backing track is so static and standard, he doesn't show much flexibility as a producer. It's one thing to have an uncompromising vision, it's another to just refuse to adapt that vision to the task at hand.

So this is the idea in his music... nothing special but a groove that makes you nothing else but dance and party... which is the most important in the electronic music, i think...
