Sorry, utterly un interesting fact, unlike this gem... Did you know, no VAT is added to cakes or biscuits however, chocolate covered biscuits are subject to VAT, so Mc'V's classed it as a cake to get through the loophole or summing like that.

I thought that VAT wasn't added to cakes but was added to biscuits, no? Thusly, the christening of the Jaffa Cake, despite it's extreme resemblance to a chocolate covered biscuit.

In fact, McVities baked a Jaffa Cake the size of an actual cake, highlighting their belief that the ordinary Jaffa Cake was simply a scaled-down version of the full-size cake.

And I'm not typing 'cake' again.
