 | RA Review From the moment that "The More That I Do" starts chugging into your speakers, you can't help but think that it sounds exactly like "Love vs. Distance," Axel Wilner's debut single from four years ago. Is this a problem? Depends on what you expect when an artist resurfaces after a phenomenal success...

| #5 / Sat, 09 May 09 14:33 Massive fan of The Field, loved "from here we go sublime" but this album dosent seem to progress from were it left off. One trick pony? Like kompakt i dont think his sound has moved on over the last few years....

| #7 / Mon, 11 May 09 03:42 This is not a huge departure, but it is a development, albeit a slight one, from 'From Here we go Sublime'. He remains one of the most singular, talented voices in electronic music and 'The More That I Do' is impressive. I too am happy to get three glimpses of the one work - its deserving of this.

| #9 / Mon, 11 May 09 09:58 Will keep my powder dry til I hear these tracks in the context of an album. The Field seems to reverse the dance-music paradigm of "strong tracks, weak albums".

| #10 / Mon, 11 May 09 20:24 haven't heard it yet, hope it doesn't have the same tone of loops as all the other releases.

| #11 / Tue, 12 May 09 17:26 i just heard an advance-mp3 of that track featuring stanier (yawn) from battles. i don't even bother looking the title up as it was very uninspiring. a more bombastic take on the style of his first lp. something was lost on the way it seems.
i think it will appeal to a lot of people though. the keyword is: crossover.
