Already a contender for one of the best mixes of the year IMO

This mix is amazing. One of the best Fabric comps there is. Takes you on a journey through House, Techno, Dub, Reggae and more. I thought the Fabric CD sound had been getting a bit dull of late, this puts it back up there as a forward thinking music series!

Aye, love this mix. Definitely my fave of the year.

I wasnt that fussed on this album, the mixing from the intro to awakening made me cringe. The rest is just a mish mash of half decent tracks. Nothing to write home about.

2/5. Seriously? Nah nah. Seriously? From actually a remarkably inconsistent mix series this is a real stand out mix of genuine quality. Ignore that 2/5 J. Someone's lost their marbles. One of the coolest Fabric mixes in a while, full of groove and attitude. Big respect to the man.

I think it's one of the most enjoyable in a while. Really like it - my only criticism is that it starts to really get going with the Hugo track towards the end but then doesnt get more pumping..

Think it's very nice home listening though with a nice bit of diversity.

All about Conduction, tune is classic.

Agreed, one of the best mixes in a while from the Fabric series. Have listened to it at least once a week since I got it. Love the Michael Ho track!

Good review, ive tried to get into this mix many times. But i cant seem to find 'it'. It does have it moments though.

Yeah, good to know RA is keeping their reviews current. And I thought this mix was pretty damn good. I like house music. Do you like house music? House music is good.

Wasnt a great mix. Agree totally with the review. Had such high hopes also.

Yeah... not sure about the review... I really liked the variety of tracks and didn't feel the pacing was that disastrous.
This mix definitely bumps for home or ipod listening.

the issue seems to be that haze is courageous enough to dig through various house styles instead of delivering a predictable, replaceable single-sided mainstream mix. hats off and 5/5 for this one in all aspects.

This review is completely off-base and wrong.

This was the best Fabric volume in AGES. Easily a 5/5 mix.

It bumps along very nicely and has that headf**k element to it that reminds me of Wiggle-style tech-house from the late 90's - a genre that didn't get NEARLY enough attention and who's lifespan was way, way, way too short.

Check out Radio Slave's Fabric volume from Sept., which was so damn boring and same-y it almost put me to sleep.

Or Toddla T's or A-Trak's FabricLive volumes which are just f'ing awful! How can ANYONE listen to lame, dorky garbage like that??

You know when you get hyped on something in the shop, take it home, play it a few times, and are still pretty into it for the first week or so? What if you wrote a review at that point? When it was 'fresh'? Every review would amount to : "fuckin bangin!" or "man, this is deeeep"—common first impressions of tracks that often wear thin after a bit of familiarity. It's nice to have people who can give their opinion of what's worth $10-15 (in the case of 12"s in the US) and how perception of a given record can shift—for bad or good—over the course of a few of months.

The anxiousness over quick turnaround on reviews is especially baffling when considering the overwhelming amount of music to be had. Not hearing much about an anticipated release?—move on to the 20 other records on your list.

defo not the static fabric i've heard recently not pushing the boundaries though which is what i had come to expect from them!! still excellent listening though.

I've heard of some really good fabrics and some really poor fabrics. One good I can remember is Ewan Pearson and that achieved a lot! However, Luke Slater in his fabric made more of an industrial techno nightmare in no specific order. Even the mediocre John Digweed Fabric did better. This Fabric 47 however might fall below Digweed, especially with track number 19. I wonder why I would rather peel piant than to listen to Jay Haze's fabric. Not it is the worst release in the world aside from Sandy RIvera's Renaissance Master Series of 2006.

I think that if you are writing for a website that claims to hold a high standard of (musical) taste you should be able to put that "kick-off-euphoria" aside and rate a release neutrally no matter when it came out. Though I think in RA's case the problem really isn't being euphoric about release and rating them too high but rather intentionally slamming things to maintain the we are something better and your taste sucks attitude....

couldn't care less though because that mix is a+ and I've been listening to it for a while now .. oh and that remix of Catrat - Freedom is pure awesomeness IMO.

This is total garbage, and your English is nothing short of terrible. Digweed's Fabric mix is fantastic, it was totally different from anything he had done before, think it took everyone by suprise.

J Haze, well done mate, your mix has been one of the best Fabric's in a LONG time my friend! 5/5 from me, even my daughter loves listening to it, I'm still in absolute shock that the reviewer gave this 2/5, totally unjustified! Was really looking forward to this review as well?! :-(
