i can totally agree with the review. Smagghe is an excellent dj, bit this one is surprisingly weak. i can see that he tried to do something new and special for Robert Johnson, and that shows the tracklist too, but the mix is too 'fragmented', and the first half'n hour is simply boring. nowhere near the level of his cocorico or fabric mixes.

This mix is dullsville. If I heard this in a club it would be the mix that turned my drunken stupor from fun to sickening. It's the sonic equivalent of standing in a long line at the DMV to contest a parking ticket you didn't deserve only to have them tell you 'fuck you. pay me.'

Ivan for me has always been one of the most inventive and creative DJs. I love to remember those nights with him and Ata at Robert-Johnson back in the days and they are doubtlessly amongst the best parties I remember at that club. I agree that this is for sure not the best mix I heard from Ivan but a 1,5/5 !?!? It's definitely not that bad... show some respect guys!

I really don't want to admit, that Stéphane is right, because he has written a number of weird reviews for the last couple of years, but unfortunatley this time he is. This album is the most pointless and boring mixed compilation I've heard in a while and a big dissapointment from one of my favourite dj's.

Once again Stéphane Girard proves that he is an idiot, and that he likes the sound of his own words better than the music he is supposedly reviewing. I literally just listened to this mix this morning, and thought that it was great. Uniquely Ivan, and something different in the best way possible. Even if you disagree with my opinion, and even if you think that it's not the best mix, anyone who buys into Girard's 1.5 out of 5 is clearly just as daft as he is.

I gave it a few listens until now and goes good with no problems. In my opinion 3.5/5.

Yeh I agree DJL- Chloe killed it, and Prins Thomas put in a sterling effort. This is average at best.

1.5/5 is outrageous......i give 3.5/5. Not awesome but definately a couple of points better than the review scoring.

I was slightly disappointed by this but 1.5 seems overly harsh - there are certainly far worse releases given more middle of the road reviews! Think maybe personal disappointment may have tainted your objectivity, but I do agree that it's nothing on his other mixes - Cocorico in particular is a criminally overlooked compilation.

If Smagghe mixed this under an alias would the review read differently?? I think he’s always going to gain some criticism when selecting from the back of his box and doing something out of character! With his recent additions on ‘Get the Curse’ and the fact that his output with ‘A Fine Line’ is riddled with eclecticism, was it not expected?

Well, I really like this....... a real grower and well worth a few listens...... I'd go more like 4/5 for Ivan trying to introduce something new with some excellent songs that really roll along...... well done that man,

I really like the track selection ... the mix is definitely different than his previous in many ways. weird breaks ... it just sounds different, that is probably why, like many people, I really enjoy this guy's style ...

What I can say about this mix is that since I got it, I have been listening to it 'en boucle' and I am really enjoying it!

Wow! Just seen that this was awarded a 1.5*!!! So harsh, I don't know what is so wrong. To the contrary, I think Ivan has delivered a really esoteric and creative piece here. Been listening for a few weeks now and have enjoyed it loads.

Will definately keep listening to this one in future years... for me a definate 4*. Don't be put off by this review - the basis of the low score is founded on utter garbage remarks like:

Sorry but this is a mix CD, and to me a good one. What has this got to do with anything, and how do you possibly derive such a conclusion from 14 tracks?!
