| #4 / Tue, 04 Aug 09 22:18 I'm still not really sure what your point is... To complain that a review is 'late' seems a little facile. When exactly should it have been written? One week before the official release? One week after? Within two weeks? Within two months? (Maybe there are some guidlines I'm not aware of?) Personally, I thinks it's commendable that are willing to publish reviews of records that have been around for a little while as it gives the reviewer, producer and listener(s) a chance to apprehend the record with a little perspective. In a dance music culture all but obsessed with immediacy, I think that's a pretty healthy thing.

| #5 / Wed, 05 Aug 09 07:17 Of course we'd all like to see all 'the important records' reviewed within a week of their release dates. It isn't possible though. If there's something to say about the record, The garage continuum isn't so blindingly dynamic that the passing of three or four months should make such observations obsolete. Also, not everybody hears these records right away, and for those that don't, these reviews probably aren't so irritating.
