 | RA Review In my own mind at least, the pursuit of a computer-based electronic musician should be an escape from the sequencer. In other words, to listen to a record and imagine a single vertical line traversing a series of coloured blocks on a screen is about as far from a flight to the "promised land" as it..

| #4 / Fri, 07 Aug 09 19:55 I agree that this review seems overly harsh. Not only anti-m_nus but anti-minimal in general?
I thought that this ep was solid, while not doing anything new, still had several notable tracks that would stand out in a set in part due to their simplicity and ear-catchiness.
After being worn down with deep house retread after another, this was refreshing listening to a pure minimal record that didn't rely on the usual 'hiss' and synth squelch build-ups and breakdowns that make alot of minimal tracks derivative.

| #7 / Sat, 08 Aug 09 12:39 Don't really see what's supposed to be 'minimal' about this record - it sounds like some crude 80s italo disco track m_nus the fun.

| #8 / Sat, 08 Aug 09 13:11 I'm far from being m_nus's biggest fan, but this record at least has the virtue of sounding intentionally stupid. (If that's a virtue?)
Pretty pointless, nonetheless.

| #12 / Sun, 09 Aug 09 22:58 I don't understand why this type of record is being released in 2009.
In 2005 this release deserved a 2/5. In 2009, it doesn't even deserve to be reviewed.

| #17 / Mon, 10 Aug 09 20:22 i've been playing these tracks out and almost always get somebody asking who it is. can't say it doesn't sound dated but some of it has this vintage 80's sound to it that I can't help but eat up.

| #18 / Thu, 20 Aug 09 14:14 Funny how taste is subjective and how we feel music in different ways. I SAW they doing those tracks; Marco actually plays every single note (NOT sequenced) on analog gear (not a single virtual, not a single digital synth). Bass included, both synth and electroacoustic. Then, they'll chop the best parts of a record session.
