Cool. Loved his stuff mid nineties.

However I would like to remind Mr Landstrumm that although the BBC Micro had a sound chip, the Sinclair ZX81 did not. Indeed, boasting as it did a massive 1KB of RAM, the only sound it would have made would have been one of sheer silicon exhaustion at the mere micro-thought of a sound chip.

Mr Landstrumm is of course free to alert me to the possible existence of an add-on sound card, but until he does, this possibility will remain in the zone of conjecture and hypothesis.

saw him last year at 237 rooms in leeds.....absolutely ridiculous! maddest raving music i've ever heard in a club, fucking loved it.

enjoyed the mix but think this stuff works for me a lot more in a club environment than at home listening. check him out if you can :)

when i saw his name on the podcast download screen a massive grin spread across my face... this is an excellent continuation of the sound he carved out with his Restaurant of Assassins LP. Beaty, bleepy, grimy, ravey, mental. A nod to the past without overly reminiscing. Easy(ish) to access without being obvious, underground without disappearing up it’s own arse or becoming too harsh. Contrasting beat patterns/tempos to keep the interest up. Loving the snippet of green velvet towards the end. Very impressed and will make the cycle home fly by!

Off-kilter podcast of the year for me, and as such a brilliant surprise. There's strains of dubstep, rave and Warp-y bleep techno here but mixed so carefully and with such attention to micro-details that all becomes the great big, nutcase whole. Reminds me in many ways of the sort of thing Hessle Audio are creating these days - vaguely unclassifiable but seasoned with tasty morsels of anything that suits the flavour.

Another epiphany, borne of this mix's love of big, Mentasm-y rave-signals - forget Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills. Joey Beltram may be the nineties techno innovator most relevant to todays dance scene.

Just a thought.

excellent interview! love the insight on his creative process and how he continues to evolve.

the mu ep's definitely put him back on the radar for me and i've been enjoying them immensely.

his performance at DEMF this year was one of the highlights for me.

looking forward to the mix.

Hmm...bit of a mixed bag that mix, for sure.

Anyword on a tracklisting? Although I'm sure noting down all of those track names would be a bastard of a job.

Still, credit should be given where credit is due, I think.

lol yolaman. The old Sativa nights would have made you cry like a little girl, especially Vogel's and Neil's first live sets.

Funny how Ian Brown is always omitted when Sativa is mentioned, it's as if Sativa never existed back in the Wee Red Bar days. Sad ego driven nonsense by Dave and Steve.
