Thomas Hammann & Gerd Janson - Live at Robert Johnson cover
RA Review
Looking backwards presents an inherent problem. What if—to draw upon the words of those craggy old grandfather figures—things really were better before? It's not a question Gerd Janson and Thomas Hammann have asked intentionally on their mix for Frankfurt venue Robert Johnson. But as the virulent..

Scariest cover ever. Pennywise the Clown!! Bringing back some bad childhood memories...

Review has definitely got me interested to check this one out though.

Always enjoy the Robert Johnson series. The covers always seem to feature some seriously dodgy typography though

The previews remind me of the great 'Club H' vols. 1-3 by Harry the Bastard. Those are timeless. Will check...

Debut listen soundtracked post work run. Great groove.

i like this mixes, no big names, great quality of selection... really something new in offical cd mixed compilations

That's right, the people don't come because you grandiose motherfuckers don't play shit that they like. If you played the shit that they like, then people would come, simple as that.

Really enjoying this one. Never tire of hearing GC's mix of Jazz Carnival.

Although I have heard/seen and enjoyed some of the best and most famous house DJs in the world and around the world, Thomas Hammann is by far the best (He's the MAN!!!) I have ever come across. I think this guy is DJing since 1983 and technically very, very sklilled. But what really makes him different, is his knowledge, his love, his passion for music. That guy got SOUL ...and sooo much of it! He is capable of rocking in a house club like the robert johnson, with playing original 80 (breakdance) electro beats, bringing the crowd to the (over)boiling point, as much as he can rock a private party of Ricardo Villalobos (without even bringing his own records along, but playing the records of ricardo) to the degree that ricardo himself could not rock the crowd of his own friends. And i have seen that myself! That guy is like an atomic BOMB, when he gets into the swing mood.

Gerd Janson, i always considered as his "Master Student", but who has outgrown this status "student" long back. Now being a master piece himself. He shares the same passion and love for music and is as well extremely knowledgeable.

They are unique ...very special and together as Liquid (I would say) a gentle force, always willing to take the crowd (large or small) to a different dimension. A journey through time, but timeless.

you can't beat this one! MORE ...PLEASE!!!

Theres nothing to scoff at in name dropping Sasha & Digweed's 1996-relased Northern Exposure, its a bona fida classic.

Love or loath progressive house, theres no denying this!
