I was thinking of some ideas, chilling at home when I was introduced to the project; I picked up drift on itunes...

This is a great record. One that steadily grew on me after every play. I'm glad to hear that he's been well received in EU during this tour, as outside of Cali, that's where I see his greatest opportunities for success. But as this movement gains more momentum outside of the Cali/US west coast, he will benefit from the harvest.
His video instillations which he's developing will also be an added lagniappe to his shows.

finally picked up the vinyl about 2 weeks back and ironically only listened to it all the way through last night. great record, congrats jason chung.

I definitely think the guy has a lot of talent but for me, Drift started to tire after a few listens. It may be too clean for my taste. I can't really put my finger on it, but there's just something missing in his sound that I don't sense in the tunes of other LA beatsmiths. In any case I'll definitely check out his next record-loads of potential for Nosaj.

Also, he puts on a great live show. When I saw him play in ATL he was throwing in all kinds of great G-Funk samples.

Excellent write up, and right on the tip of what is going down here in LA. I am so fortunate to get to hear Nosaj play out all the time. He deserves every accolade that is coming his way!! Much love!
