Will definitely be watching out for this. Actually, the guy's name is Noah Lennox, not Noah Gibson;

i wonder if it's fair or polite enough to ask an artist some questions after giving his most recent record a 2,5 grade in spite of it being actually just brilliant

Hottest nws of 2009.

Hendrik is what happened best to electronic dance music during the 00's.

To be fair to Max, that particular review did start with these words: "After a stunning sophomore album that rightfully earned him a rare perfect score on RA..."

Every reviewer is entitled to their opinion, of course. Personally, I don't believe that that particular release was up with Hendrik's best work, and I wholeheartedly agree with Max's sentiments in the writing.

I am really looking forward to hearing Hendrik's new material. I saw him earlier this year supporting Animal Collective in Lille and thought he was awesome. NO

I'd be keen to see him play his new stuff & see he's playing on 15th January in Berlin, but don't know where, anyone got any more information? Head Scratch

OMG ~ I LOVE LOVE LOVE 'Stick To My Side'; Noah's vocals are so silky rich and work so well the track. Does anybody know where I can find the lyrics? I want to sing along! =)

I got to listen to the album and I must say that I really like this mindtrip on a disc. Very good album! 5/5

Amazing album. Not sure how Stick To My Side has a negative effect on the way the album is sequenced.

Simply beautiful album. I know the year is just starting but this record will probably be on most of the 'Best of 2010' lists.

Hats off to Rough Trade for having the balls to release this.

Good stuff, but I am a bit disappointed because it is still a lot in the vein of 'This bliss'. Many tracks sound like tracks that did not make it on that LP ...

Call me crazy but I think 'Stick to my side' is the best thing Pantha has ever done

Wow - new to this guy - I've been missing out.

This is a lovely LP.

I'm not a big fan of 'indie rock friendly techno', but I thought this was a enjoyable listen. Well done.

I didn't expect something as good as The Bliss, cause The Bliss is too great in its genre to be beaten. :)

I think I like this most of all PdP's albums. Among other things, it reminds me a great deal of Anders Ilar's Nightwidth and - in its more ambient moments - Ludwijka.

Sitting in today spinning this with the snow storm raging outside...lovely sounds :)

Nice review for a great album- might be as good as This Bliss imo...

good album, from my casual listening so far i'd give it a 4/5 max though... i hate how those vocals ruin (to me) what otherwise might be the best track on the whole thing (stick to my side). i prefer pantha du prince with little vocal interruption.

weird that this isn't coming out on dial... because the 'behind the stars'/'frozen fog' 12' is on dial. i love both tracks... unfortunately 'frozen fog' came with a HUGE skip right in the middle so i have to waste my time shipping it back for a (hopefully) good copy.

blast your purism! 'stick to my side' is a massive step for a movement properly sequencing the vocals themselves!!

Yeah, well, those vocals really do NOT fit into what could have been a milestone.

VERY GOOD Album!!!!

Spread Love
Thoroughly enjoyable album, but flimsy vinyl. A shame given the quality of this release.
Wherefore art thou, Dial?

This is just lovely late night music [twilight house?]. 'Stick To My Side' works for me as a single, but yeah, I agree with the reviewer in saying that the vocals seem out of place on this album.

I think that´s quite a great album, especially Stick to my Side and Welt am Draht.. even though I think it doesnt quite reach This Bliss... But Black Noise, together with the amazing new Pawel album on Dial just seal the deal!!!

shimmery and sexy all round, quite brave putting in Stick to My Side but i think it works a treat. A Nomad's retreat and Behind the stars are definite winners!

I can't believe my ears, what a truly amazing album! 'A Nomad's Retreat' stands out like a classic that one would expect to hear being played ten years from now. Love this stuff!
