Audion - Push cover
RA Review
The past year has been prolific indeed for Matthew Dear under his Audion moniker. And, in the spirit of the imminent New Year, "Push" is a work of nostalgia, harking back to the rawness of "Kisses."

I dunno, I quite liked it. Nothing too original but I can imagine this working at the peak of his recent live set. Although Stoplight is probably my favourite track from the recent batch of releases.

I do appreciate Audion and his work, but you make a good point in this review. It's a bit..too intense.

don't know what to write - good or bad? not good and not bad. I'm not able to float over the ground as with his usual works :)

some of these recent audion singles are a bit mediocre, imo... UNTIL you see them put in context at a live show.

It doesn't need to make sense when you're reviewing at your laptop, dancing about architecture. It is the kind of track that makes sense where it needs to, the dance floor, the rave.

Yeah was thinking about that dancing about architecture quote the other day... these days, anyone can click on a link and hear a tune anyway, so it's pointless to just describe the track... an article is more about entertainment in it's own right. It's a subjective opinion as well, hopefully it entertains though and offers a new dimension

yeah, it's not really making my desk jump around, but I guess that's not what it's for. so many tracks just don't really exist as themselves without a shuddering juggernaut of sub and waves of flashing lights. Live, Audion is one of the more ecstatic things I've seen, just orgasm after orgasm. wish I could get a bag of tracks like that, but maybe they just require his touch.

I've liked this one a lot more than any of the previous Audion singles this year. For instance, I still remember what this one sounds like. 4/5 for me. Really enjoyed it.

intense? hardly, i think kisses might be his heaviest track, or billy says go. This is alright though, Audion's recent work hasn't really caught my attention.

So what? The man wrote a peak time track. I can see this working a floor in so many ways. AND, on a floor i can see this being a very memorable moment.

4/5

'Like a rabble of squawking condor hatchlings vying for their mother' - classic

But yes I imagine this would be amazing in a live show

I assume I heard this at his live set in Sydney a whilst back and remember the whole set being underwhelming. Unfotunately, because i expected a lot
