Yep, tracklisting looking absolutely messy!

Can't wait to get my hands on that Abstract Elements tune myself, been fiending for that one since day dot...

Definitely one of the most exciting crews in electronic music at the moment, boundaries being chucked right out the window, as they should be.

So, the denizens of Drum and Bass take over both sides of the 50th mixes. I like.

Even better is that there's less of this dreadful bass music that has infected the previous mixes.

Awesome but, just like the Autonomic podcasts, it's not really drum & bass.

Not as we know it anyway..

I've had this for a week now and can't get enough. Such a journey, I hear something new with each listen. If you like any form of electronic music and if your reading this you obviously do, this is essential! Will go down as another classic fabric mix. Programmed perfectly in key and full of emotion. The future is here!

RA Review
As traffic police warn us, speed kills. However, alongside trying to ram the point home with pictures of mangled chassis and ambulances, maybe they should also play your average drum & bass compilation to anyone they pull over. For drum & bass has also been a victim of an obsession with acceleration..

A sick mix no doubt, but after listening to their autonomic podcasts for the past year it does begin to sound a bit familiar.

Not knocking them at all because I think that they, along with a handful of other producers such as spectrasoul, are fundamentally redefining drum and bass for the better... But this feels like more of a retrospective of the past 12 months than something properly forward looking.

And I mean this as a huge compliment because the mix sits far beyond anything else going on in dnb right now.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with in 2010.

thought it was a little monotenous when listening in my car, had a listen at home and thought it was amazing. so chilled out, the deep tracks are brilliant.

thumbs up

Big fan of this as I am, it doesn't really scream friday night main room guts and glory vibes though does it? Not so much fabriclive as what you might put on after.

Very impressed with this after a first listen. I can't be arsed with high-velocity banging DnB unless I'm in a very, very specific mood, whereas this was deep, interesting, and a great listen.

Not what I'd want to hear at the end of the night at Fabric, but a really great mix for home, or in the car.

Didn't do it for me at first, but after repeat listening I'm totally convinced that this is 10/10 material. Mesmerising.

Straight buy on site; tempo & arrangements well chilled. Production & mix beautiful. This is 2010 (to me) and a deep vibe of now.

Surprised to hear that about your first reaction, max. Glad you had a change of heart. Absolute deepness. I agree, Blaktony; this is the sound of 2010. I'm getting on in years, glad to see my beloved DNB is matching me step for step!

Having caned last year's Autonomic podcasts, I think it was just a case of some initial deja vu. But what repeat listening spelled out was just how perfect this mix is, even compared to those podcasts. It's a complete musical universe, and totally uncompromising about where it stands.

The fact that it took a few listens is actually exactly the kind of compliment it warrants! A DnB mix that's actually a grower - now there's a thing...

Like Max, I think it requires several listenings. A really good mix, presenting the new school of D&B; a hybrid with dubstep. Fresh sound!
Far from the early days of D-Bridge with Bad Company ("Inside the machine" being in my top 5 D&B LP)

Thanks Dbridge and Instra. With your help it was possible for me and many others i know to make peace with the music i once loved so much. After years of crap you turned it into something fresh. True Heroes of D and B.

welcome to the 21st century people...

this is just what i feel during listening this mix... it's a new dimension of dnb, or rather a perfect merge of dubstep and rnb into a slow, a kind of oldschool dnb.
i was walking in the city with this mix on my ears and the music was just "living together" with streets, the people, the cars, the trams and so on... i think this is a beautiful symbol of the 21st century's urban life-feeling. flawless, amazing, unconventional and brand-new conception. a big 5/5

Probably my favorite mix of the past few years.. I keep wondering how exactly they came upon certain programming choices because the flow is just so flawless. And I agree that this has a very distinctive future-rnb feel to it that is irresistable. Especially the Pearson Sound tune. There are waaaay too many good tunes on this mix to even single one out though.. 10/10

Really enjoying this cd, but weird thing this i tried listening to it in my car and thought it was a bit dull, so threw on the headphones and listened to it in a dark room, and it just sounded amazing. Strange thing is i normally listen to house/techno but i really enjoy the dnb fabriclive cds by commix, marcus intalex, ltj bukem and fabio & grooverider, but this is so different to the other dnb cds in the series.

Commix killed it on the fabriclive mix in 2009 and now Autonomic repeats in 2010.

The is the mix that just keeps on giving!

Absolutely brilliant mix. For me, as cutting edge as Scuba's Sub-Stance set. How refreshing to listen to music that has obvious links to the past - in this case jungle and UKG - without sounding in thrall to it. That Commix set from a while back was highly entertaining, but still glued to the mid-nineties rolling sound. This is a genuine step forward.
