| #3 / Thu, 14 Jan 10 19:33 Classic stuff - one of my favourite ever albums. Have the original singles on Trax, but I'll no doubt pick up a copy of the remastered Rush Hour one. Essential business for any self-respecting house music fan.

| #5 / Thu, 14 Jan 10 20:13 The EPs on Trax were probably the best records on the label... This is AMAZING music. If you do not have it you absolutely, must buy this on site. Will change your life!!!

| #6 / Thu, 14 Jan 10 20:26 Fucking awesome. Been wanting to get hold of this for years but the original pressing is always far too much for me to afford on discogs. Ride is absolutely sublime. As is "Do you know who you are," although got the Trax EP with that on already. Canny wait

| #7 / Thu, 14 Jan 10 21:01 good...because my copy of 'in a vision,' like most trax records, sounds like complete fucking balls.

Ride is absolutely sublime. As is "Do you know who you are," although got the Trax EP with that on already. Canny wait I wouldn't say that. When that Canadian company took over Trax they reissued the first EP with "Do You Know Who You Are?", "Take Me Higher", "In A Vision" and "Going Thru Life", and the M.E. release isn't that hard to come by. I picked up a new copy of the Do You Know Who You Are reissue for about £7, and it's currently £13 on Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=708268&ev=rb) and sounds perfect to my ears, and the Ride EP is $15/£15 on Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=4894&ev=rb), but they do come up for cheaper. "Ride" also got released on one of Dave Clarke's Back In The Box vinyl samplers.

Still, will get the Rush Hour re-releases for the new tracks. Also, anyone notice basically any house music from the 80s with the word 'Virgo' in the title is just f@cking awesome... Virgo, Virgo Four, Virgo Mechanically Replayed etc... Kind of funny they're all different artists but all amazing.

| #10 / Fri, 15 Jan 10 17:34 As far as I'm aware, it's all Larry Sherman's fault. He was notorious for putting someone else's name on the record if he thought it'd sell more (hence why Jamie Principle didn't get a credit for "Your Love" or "Baby Wants To Ride" on the "Frankie Knuckles presents" Trax issue - http://www.discogs.com/Frankie-Knuckles-Presents-Baby-Wants-To-Ride-Your-Love/release/1950), and after the Adonis/Jefferson/Lawrence Virgo record sold really well, he used the name to try and shift more copies of Sanders and Lewis' work, attempting to con buyers into thinking it was the same artist.

I've already got the "Do you know who you are" EP so I'll be adding the "Ride" one to my collection shortly. Thanks for the heads up!

| #15 / Sun, 07 Mar 10 04:50 It great that you guys(?) still enjoy our music. I would love to post the original versions( four track) of these song. They sound similar but more gritty. FYI I think my favorite song on the album is Going Through Life. Merl and I really appreciate the kind words and your interest in the music. It makes us feel great to know that there are people who are on the same musical wavelength. It GREAT!

| #17 / Mon, 08 Mar 10 23:05 While I'm sure it's better than the Trax original, the Canadian/Belgium repress of the Virgo Four EP is still pretty dodgy. Pressing noise for the duration of a couple of the tracks. (It's not just my copy either, a friend's is exactly the same.) Hope to pick up this reissue eventually... love the cover art.

 | RA Review When the golden era of Chicago house gets mentioned nowadays, people will be quick to mention people like Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk and Larry Heard, but Eric Lewis and Merwyn Sanders? Although they might not be household names, the duo's small discography is high..

| #37 / Tue, 16 Mar 10 09:00 I'm not sure I've ever heard of this, though from the review and the comments its definitely something I'm going to have to check out.
I've a sneaky suspicion once I've got it rotating I'm going to recognise quite a few of the tunes, maybe some flashbacks to hazy half remembered dance floors..?
I live in Amsterdam, so I can get down to RushHour directly to check this out. Though very good, its a small shop and one of the few remaining vinyl vendors in the city, so if you can swing some cash their way it can only be a good thing.
Rush Hour link on this record is here: http://www.rushhour.nl/store_detailed.php?item=53009

| #42 / Wed, 17 Mar 10 02:08 If this stuff 'is not very useable' in clubs, then so be it. For fucks sake not all dance music has to be DJ tools. This is some of the better house music I've heard in my life, certainly more immediate and emotional than much that I've heard over the last 10 years (I'm not exaggerating, The Shamen are sorely missed). But if you're a DJ and you can't find 'use' for this in a club, then you are doing something WRONG.
