Could do with getting peoples opinions on how is the best to get to and from the event from Las Ramblas.

Anyone been before that can help?

Every year tehy're buses leaving from Barcelona to the festival. Pay attention to the official site.

There isn't much on the website at the minute

Do they run throughout the festival (say if you want to leave early?)

How long does it take to get from Barcelona to the site? Or is it easier to get a train to Lleida?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Went last year, I would strongly recommend renting a car if possible. This gives you the option of having somewhere to crash out, as well as the freedom to leave when you want.

The coaches only run at set times and the earliest ones leaving were at 1pm the next day. We stayed in Zaragoza and got the coach from there, the only option was to get to the festival for around 5pm. We spent 5 hours sitting around in the sun, waiting for Carola to play.

Be warned it is a survival of the fittest, as you can imagine at 5am the open air arenas are very cold only for it to hit 30 degrees about 3 hours later!

It looks like it works best to take a bus from Lleida as they run every 30 minutes back and forth. You can take the train from Barcelona or Madrid to Lleida.

it does sound a bit complicated, far from everything, extreme weather conditions, crazy people all around...but that seems to be the point )))

if u rent a car, is it possible to go out of the festival and come back in at any point? in some other big festivals u can not go out...
