Subject will mark its six birthday from June 1st through to the 3rd.

The night has been taking place at various venues in Dublin usually bi-weekly. Most recently they've found themselves a home at The Twisted Pepper. The promoter's agenda is simply stated: "Disco.House.Techno." Over the years they've had guests from all over that spectrum, including Marcel Dettmann, Kerri Chandler and Neil Landstrumm.

Their birthday will take up a whole weekend (plus a Monday), starting on June 1st at The Twisted Pepper with Berlin-based hardware fetishists Analogue Cops, who will perform live (and who were the focus of a Label Of The Month feature back in 2011). Dublin's DJ Kormac will support with an audiovisual set.

The next night at the same venue, Chicago veteran Green Velvet—also known for his classic hits under the Cajmere moniker—will headline, along with locals Mr. Rossworth and Joe Morrissey. The party will continue into Monday morning with an afterhours that starts at 7:00 AM, this time at the Dark Horse Inn. Panorama Bar resident Tama Sumo is billed for that one, with other lineup details still under wraps.

Tickets for the two Twisted Pepper parties are available on Subject's promoter page.

Solar Bears will release their second album, Supermigration, in April through Planet Mu.

John Kowalski and Rian Trench debuted on Mike Paradinas's label in 2010, releasing an EP (Inner Sunshine) and album (She Was Coloured In) which fully showcased a richly textured sonic approach that tapped into the spirit of 1970s psychedelia, kosmische and prog. While their debut album was crafted in a bedroom studio, Supermigration was created over a year and a half in a state-of-the-art complex in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland.

The album features two guest vocaliists, with Sarah P of Keep Shelly In Athens and former Air collaborator Beth Hirsch appearing on "Alpha People" and "Our Future Is Underground" respectively. For an idea of what to expect from the LP, you can watch a brief video teaser below.

Life Festival will celebrate its eighth year this May at the Belvedere House in Co. Westmeath, Ireland.

The festival prides itself on its open-air locale, which features lakeside and wooded areas in addition to the main arena. The music, however, is undoubtedly the main event over Life's three-day run which begins May 24th. Groove Armada and 2012 RA Poll topper Seth Troxler are highest on the bill for the festival, with German duos Modeselektor and Booka Shade both booked in for live sets. Amon Tobin, who's spent much of the last few years touring behind his spectacle of a live show, will instead play a DJ set under his Two Fingers alias. Kerri Chandler will lead an eclectic contingent of house acts that includes Bicep, Jacques Greene and KiNK. Eglo Records will be well represented, with mainstays Floating Points, FunkinEven, Fatima and label boss Alexander Nut all on board. NonPlus+ chief Boddika and Goth-Trad will provide ample coverage of the low-end.

Tickets for the festival are available here on RA.

Hidden Agenda have revealed some of their upcoming bookings for 2013.

The crew have been bringing international headliners to the Irish capital for a few years now, and in 2012 they launched a Saturday night residency at local venue The Button Factory. The bookings they've lined up for the coming months continue their adventurous programming choices, weaving through disco, house and bass music.

Though full lineup details of each show have not yet been announced, the headliners have. First up is American disco DJ Moon Boots on February 16th, followed by a double header from I Am The Cosmos and Slow Hands on the 23rd. On March 16th, they'll bring percussionist, producer and DJ Jamie xx to the intimate venue, and then Canadian house duo Art Department will follow on April 27th. Norwegian disco superstar Todd Terje will headline on May 25th, and then Hidden Agenda will team up with Bedlam to host downbeat American producer xxyyxx on August 24th.

Modern Love artist Andy Stott will headline Resident Advisor's first party in Ireland.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 13th at the Twisted Pepper in Dublin, with a lineup focused resolutely on dark, captivating techno and noise. As one of the Irish capital's go-to spots for quality house and techno, The Twisted Pepper was a natural choice for the event. The party will be headlined with a live set by Stott, who released the RA Recommended Luxury Problems album last October. He will be joined on the lineup by Whitehouse founder William Bennett (AKA Cut Hands) and Perc Trax affiliates Forward Strategy Group. Seasoned Irish techno producer Sunil Sharpe, who released a 12-inch on Blawan and Pariah's Works The Long Nights label last year, will also play, with Barry Redsettaz and the All City DJs rounding out the bill.

Tickets for the event are available here on RA.

Phil Kieran's Le Carousel outfit will release its debut album in March through his own PKR label.

Entitled Le Carousel, the 12-track release features Kieran himself on vocals, with a press release revealing that the title is "a metaphor for the rotations constantly occurring in daily life." Kieran relocated from Belfast to Donegal to recruit band members, and is quoted as saying: "It's a diary of a part of my life. Over a two-year period I decided to really make the best thing I've ever made, and maybe will ever make."

Although Kieran is still best known for his techno output for labels like Soma, Electric Deluxe and Cocoon, he already has one band project under his belt, with the punk/hardcore outfit Alloy Mental releasing an album on Skint Records in 2007. The album will be preceded by a 12-inch single featuring remixes from Andrew Weatherall and David Holmes.

Tracklist
01. Step On The Carousel
02. You Lose Your Love
03. The Good Times
04. Carousel
05. The Lost Years
06. Winter Months
07. My Saviour
08. Away
09. Stick Together
10. Broken
11. Forget Me Not
12. Step Off The Carousel

PKR will release Le Carousel by Le Carousel on March 11th, 2013.
