Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice will headline the Moonpark festival in Buenos Aires on June 1st.
Currently celebrating its ten year anniversary, Moonpark has welcomed the likes of James Zabiela, Danny Tenaglia and Sasha to the Argentine capital over the years. The event in June will be its second of 2013, having already played host to Deadmau5 in March. Hawtin and Dice have both featured at Moonpark in the past, performing alongside one another in September 2011. The party will run from 10 PM through 6 AM. ![]() Crobar will welcome a series of international guests to Buenos Aires between April and July. Currently considered one of the top clubs in the Argentine capital, Crobar has so far hosted the likes of Ben Klock, Diplo and Yousef in 2013. My Favorite Robot will DJ on April 19th, with Chilean Cadenza Records affiliate Dandy Jack playing a week later on the 26th. May will see Alan Fitzpatrick take over with his brand of blistering techno on the 3rd, with Matthew Dear scheduled for a DJ set on the 10th. June 7th will mark the arrival of Dominik Eulberg to the club, while Christian Smith will begin a short tour of South America with a performance at Crobar on July 5th. ![]() Pearson Sound will embark on a short tour of South America in March. London-based Hessle Audio co-founder David Kennedy has spent much of the last two years touring the world, releasing a few key 12-inches in the process. This spring he'll make his maiden voyage to South America: in just over a week he'll visit five countries, beginning with a Bullybass party on March 1st in Cordoba, Argentina. The next evening Kennedy will be in Santiago, Chile, to play the Espacio Cellar. The final three dates will take place at Rio de Janeiro's Fosfobox on the 7th, Toro Bar in Lima, Peru, on March 8th, and the Baum club in Bogota, Colombia, on the 9th, before he returns to the UK. ![]() Dubfire will head out on a tour of South America in November. After a headline performance at Tribaltech 2012 in September, Ali Shirazinia will return to South America four a six-date tour next month, beginning at Creamfields Buenos Aires on the 10th, where he'll play alongside fellow heavyweights Sven Vath, Loco Dice and Richie Hawtin. On the 14th, he’s heading to the Seven Music Festival in Brazil with Guy Gerber, Jamie Jones and Brazilian artist Gui Boratto. Two days later he’s booked for both Day 1 of the Dream Valley festivaland Part 3 of Warung Beach Club’s 10th anniversary party. From there, Dubfire will head to Creamfields Peru on the 17th before wrapping things up at the 16th annual Xxxperience Festival in Brazil. Chris Liebing will play three dates in South America later this month. Known best for his hard, driving style of techno and his prolific productions on both Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, and of course his own CLR imprint, Chris Liebing is a leading figure in Germany's techno scene. He'll be embarking on a three-date mini-tour of South America later this month, beginning at Lotus Nightclub in Rosario, Argentina on October 25th, a debut performance for him there. After that he'll head south to the popular Crobar Buenos Aires on the 26th, where he last performed in early 2011. The tour wraps up on October 27th with Wicked at Club la Hebracia, which held Creamfields Peru in 2007 and boasts a large, open-air arena with a rectangular, Boombox-style stage. Magda will play three parties in South America this week. The weekend-long tour will see the Items & Things co-founder making three debut appearances. She’ll start on September 27th with a first time appearance at Studio Theater in Argentina, and then head to Crobar Buenos Aires on the 28th. From there she’ll be joining a bevy of other big name artists like Dubfire, Danny Daze and Dave Clark for the Tribaltech 2012 festival in Brazil on September 29th. Amirali will play three dates in South America this month. Fresh off the release of his first artist album on Crosstown Rebels, In Time, Amirali will be touring South America for three debut performances. Singing over his own synthesizers and electronic sounds, he’ll begin on September 20th at Paradise Mansion in Brazil, then head to El Cafecito for All The Toys on the 21st, finishing up at Radio Berlin in Colombia on the 22nd. Radio Slave and Markus Fix will represent Cocoon at Pacha in Buenos Aires this weekend as part of the Cocoon Heroes world tour.
Started in Ibiza in 2011, Cocoon Heroes has been touring the world as of late, with events in places like Croatia, Brazil, Miami and Amsterdam. This weekend they'll be heading to Pacha Buenos Aires on Saturday, July 28th for the first time. As part of Radio Slave’s four-country mini tour, with dates in Cordoba, Bogota and Medellin, the Rekids boss will be joined by Markus Fix, a staple of Cocoon’s booking agency, with releases on labels like Cecille, Oslo, and of course, Cocoon. ![]() Guti will release his first album this March on Desolat, entitled Patio de Juegos, Spanish for "playground." Since he made his recording debut back in 2007, Guti's wasted little time in building an international profile for himself. Hailing from Argentina, he started out on the Buenos Aires label Unlock Recordings, and within a few years had landed releases on Wolf + Lamb, Crosstown Rebels and most recently Supplemental Facts, not to mention Desolat, who gave Guti one of his first big breaks by releasing his Las Cosas Que No Se Tocan EP. Musically, Guti wears his jazz and blues influences on his sleeve, which makes him a perfect fit for the organic tech house label. Patio de Juegos features all new productions from Guti, plus collaborations with Guy Gerber, Grünbox, Ryan Crosson and Anthea Marie Nzekwu (or Anthea, as she's commonly known). Grammy nominated tango artist Daniel Melingo also makes an appearance. The album will be released on CD, with a shorter version available on double-vinyl. Tracklist 01. Una Tarde Con Pedro 02. Fosky (Digital Bonus) Desolat will release Patio de Juegos on March 21st, 2011. ![]() Argentinian label Greener Records will release a compilation in February called Landscapes of the Future. Based in the city of Pergamino, a few hours outside Bueno Aires, Greener Records is a techno label that primarily releases music by Argentinian artists. It was launched in 2008 by producer Andrés Zacco, and has put out just a handful of 12-inches to date. Landscapes of the Future is the first in a new series of ambient compilations, which will be released digitally. With the exception of Polish artist Jacek Sienkiewicz, the collection highlights all Argentinian producers, from Franco Cinelli to Leonel Castillo to Nico Purman.
