Creamfields Chile will celebrate its tenth edition in November, returning to the Espacio Riesco Expo Centre in Santiago.1 Comment
The festival franchise first hit the capital in 2004, and has since grown to cater for upwards of 20,000 revellers. As is traditionally the case, this year's event will take place the day before Creamfields Buenos Aires, on Friday, November 8th. As a result, the majority of the acts are the same, with Underworld, Luciano, Sven Väth, Maceo Plex, Solomun, Nic Fanciulli, Barem, Pan-Pot and Cadenza's Ernesto Ferreyra all featuring. Performing exclusively at the Chilean edition will be local talent Felipe Venegas and UK dance troupe Faithless, who will play a live PA and DJ set. Like Creamfields BA (but unlike Creamfields Peru), there will also be a strong commercial contingent at the festival. The party will run from 9 PM through 5 AM.

Carsten Nicolai and Olaf Bender will continue their Latin American fall later this month when they visit Chile.
The duo, who record under the names Alva Noto and Byetone respectively, have been traveling around South America for the past month with stops in Rio, Sao Paulo, Porto Allegre, Motevideo, Buenos Aires and Cordoba all already having taken place. The producers will make their final South American performance of the current tour next week in Santiago and then head to North America for an appearance at Mutek Mexico. As is their usual modus operandi, expect a whole lot of screeching fax machines to come into glorious focus if you decide to attend their night—these guys know how to make abstraction sing.
Can't go to either? Catch up with the boys via their tour blog here in which they wax funny about hotel phones, Xerox ads and other assorted ephemera.
