Hideout Festival has announced a bevy of pool parties as part of its 2013 edition.
As previously reported, the now sold-out festival, which features headliners like Bicep, Joy Orbison, Cassy and Four Tet, will be held at Zrce Beach on the Island of Pag in Croatia from July 3rd through 5th. Unlike the boat parties announced a few months back, the pool parties don't require revelers to pay any extra to attend. And the parties certainly add some extra value to the regular admission ticket, with offerings this year catering well to the poolside locale. Ibiza veterans CircoLoco will host a party, as will another brand that's fast becoming an island staple, Hot Creations. Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird label, Heidi presents the Jackathon and Jackmaster's Numbers contingent have also signed on. The full pool party lineup is available for your perusal on Hideout's official website. ![]() Cosmopop and Sonus d.o.o. have announced a new Croatian festival, SONUS, which runs from August 21st through the 25th.
SONUS will take place along Zrce Beach, which is already the home to several other festivals as well as a few prominent nightclubs. There will be boat parties, club nights, and outdoor events over the course of five days, and the organizers have partnered with Berlin's Club der Visionäre and FUSE London for the lineup. The names announced so far largely consist of techno and house DJs: Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and Magda are among the highlights. Circoloco's Matthias Tanzmann and Davide Squillace will be in attendance, as will Perlon head Zip, DJ Sneak, Panorama Bar's Cassy and Margaret Dygas. ![]() The first FOR festival will take place in Hvar, Croatia, from June 21st through 23rd.
The three-day event—one of several new additions to the Croatian festival calender in 2013—has been organised by Australian label Modular Recordings. Performances will be spread across three separate venues, with a limited overall capacity of 2000. The inaugural lineup includes several Modular regulars, including Bag Raiders, Canyons and Tame Impala. Former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy, Nicolas Jaar and 2ManyDJs are the biggest names billed so far, with Solange, Horse Meat Disco, Tensnake and Jacques Greene among the other artists confirmed. More names will be added to the festival in the coming weeks. ![]() Further names have been added to the bill for the first Unknown festival, taking place in Croatia from September 10th through 14th.
Unknown is a new collaboration between a handful of UK promoters: The Warehouse Project, Hideout Festival and Field Day. The festival will happen inside the coastal Amarin resort at Rovinj. The second wave of acts features a mix of live acts and DJs. Richie Hawtin, Tiga and Nina Kraviz are some of the most prominent DJs to be added, along with Italian duo Tale Of Us, fabric resident Craig Richards and Playgroup member Trevor Jackson. New live acts include the industrial-tinged Factory Floor and The Horrors, joining a pop-friendly roster that also features Jessie Ware and Disclosure. Tickets for the festival are available on RA. ![]() Echo Festival has added a handful of artists to its lineup.
As reported earlier this year, Echo will descend on the seaside town of Kanegra, Croatia from June 6th through 9th, with artists like Nick Höppner, Fred P, Braiden and Space Dimension Controller bringing a distinctly underground sound to the festival. Davide Squillace, a Circoloco resident and veteran of labels like Ovum and Desolat, will now be joining them. Workshop and Nonplus signee Kassem Mosse, Detroit house staple Andrés and New York left-fielder Madteo will also be DJing the festival, and Ion Ludwig has signed on to play live. The festival's event page on RA has the full lineup as it stands now. ![]() Outlook has added more than 70 names to its 2013 bill.
The Croatian festival's second lineup announcement includes hip-hop icon Mos Def, UK house duo Dusky, Warp Records regular Rustie and Ninja Tune affiliates Bonobo and Andreya Triana. Evian Christ, Dark Sky, Anthony B, DjRUM, Om Unit, Tunnidge, Artwork, DJ Madd, Hackman, Akkord Silkie, Flowdan, Goth-Trad and NTS Radio host Kutmah are among the others who will also perform at the bass-focused festival, which will take place at its usual setting of Fort Punto Christo in Pula, Croatia, from August 29th through September 2nd.
