Now in its fourth year, Trailerpark is a small festival that occurs over three days in a skate park. Talent ranges from shoegaze-inspired acts like Caribou and Toro Y Moi to German party DJs like Monkey Maffia (AKA Soren Bodner of the Wighnomy Brothers). Organic house trio Wareika have been billed for this year as well, along with Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Krause Duo and Rework, the group behind the infectious Playhouse single Love Love Love Yeah. A raft of Danish artists will perform as well, including techno duo Pattern Repeat, nu-disco artist Vinnie Who and a mysterious outfit known simply as the Trailerpark Allstars, which reportedly includes "three of Denmark's finest DJs."

Free Danish festival Stella Polaris are set to host Groove Armada and Trentemoller for their upcoming August event.2 Comments
The festival is to be held in the Danish capital Copenhagen within the National Gallery gardens on August 2nd, and hopes to welcome in excess of 30,000 revelers from across the globe. Taking place in the surrounds of lakes, gardens, and general green pleasantness, the event boasts all the natural amenities you would hope for at a chill-out festival, together with a decently sized musical program.
Headlining the Danish day out then will be seasoned festival pro, and one half of Groove Armada, Andy Cato. The musical ethos of the day promises to showcase some of Denmark's forward thinkers in the electronic music world, and on this basis, they don't come more suited than internationally acclaimed DJ/producer Trentemoller. Also appearing is Tom Middleton who will no doubt tailor his sound for the horizontal, and festival organizers Nicka and Kalle B who hope to give attendees a taste of Danish-style dub-techno early on in the proceedings.

Copenhagen's Strøm have just announced the first set of names that will play the 2009 edition of the festival.2 Comments
Strøm set up shop in 2007 as a cooperative effort between some of the biggest electronic music promoters in Denmark, and attempts to showcase an incredibly varied line-up of music in venues placed across the city. Strøm hosted over 100 different concerts at last year's festival, taking in dubstep, wonky, electronica, ambient, techno, minimal, drum'n'bass, hip hop, electro, house, skwee and plenty more over its six day duration.
This year's festival will run from August 11-16, and so far the only acts that have been revealed are for two of the main stages on Friday and Saturday's open-air bash at Enghaveparken. Axel Willner and his new live band will lead the charge with a performance showcasing the new The Field album, whilst dub-hopper Flying Lotus will be joined be fellow countrymen Matthew Dear and Troy Pierce. Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs and half of London's Anti Social Entertainment crew (Quest, Silkie, Jay 5, Razor, Harry Craze) will provide some heavy dubstepping action, whilst elsewhere there'll be experimental electronica (Gudrun Gut & AGF), cosmic electro-house (Moon Unit), electro-disco (Aeroplane) and tropical minimal house (Wareika) on offer.

Danish producer Trentemøller heads up the massive line-up of artists scheduled to perform at this year's Roskilde Festival.3 Comments
It's not often that an electronic-orientated artist gets a prime slot at an event of such magnitude, but that will change in July when Trentemøller will take to the stage on Thursday night at the festival after each of the other six stages have shut down for the night. At that point, it'll just be the Danish man and his decks for a special two-hour exclusive set that will be full of "his own edits and bootlegs." Adding to the fun? Plenty of musicians who played on the producer's Last Resort, as well as his upcoming studio album.
Also appearing at the festival this year, as RA previously reported, are several other electronic acts, including Pet Shop Boys, Deadmau5, Diplo's new project Major Lazer, Royksopp, 2562, Fever Ray, Tom Middleton, Mungolian Jet Set and more.

Organisers of the Roskilde Festival have just announced that the Pet Shop Boys will headline this year's event.3 Comments
Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant originally made their first ever festival performance at 1997's Roskilde, and now they'll return to Denmark for a performance that will mix classic tracks with cuts from this year's Yes album. Most of the line-up that has been announced so far is comprised of big international acts (such as Coldplay, Oasis and Kanye West) and smaller rock bands, but there are still some artists that should cater for electronic music fans.
The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson will perform her ice-cold electro-pop under her Fever Ray moniker, whilst fellow Scandinavians Royksopp will also play live. Experimental Brooklyn trio Black Dice will also be there to show off their Repo album, but if you're looking for a more organic groove, then Afrobeat legend Tony Allen should be right up your street. Lots more acts are yet to be announced, so we'll be sure to keep you posted.
