The Henk op de Helling festival will take place in Amsterdam on July 20th.

The Henk parties have been happening in various forms around Amsterdam for a few years now, but the mainstay has been the summer event on the hill of the NDSM Docklands shipyard-cum-venue. Most of the events so far have had an emphasis on live acts, and this year's edition is no different. Though Henk launched a new indoor festival at the same site this past April, this will reportedly be the final Henk op de Helling ("Henk on the Slope") docklands event, with a press release stating "it is time to close this inspiring era and put all the energy in a brand new concept."

Sitting at the top of the bill of live acts is the Moritz Von Oswald Trio, along with Smallville's Lawrence, Downward's chief Regis and Pampa signee Isolée. Fachwerk head Mike Dehnert, Hotflush's Dense & Pika and German producer Redshape will all perform, as will San Proper, John Heckle and former Bar 25 resident Matt John. Austrian three-piece techno band Elektro Guzzi are also slated to perform. The festival site will be adorned with installations and art by artists from around Europe.

The 20th edition of Amsterdam's Mysteryland festival will take place on Saturday, August 24th.

This year's event will be held across 13 stages at Floriade Terrein, and the lineup adopts an anything-goes approach, with everything from trance to trap, house and techno covered. The list of DJs includes Speedy J, Fake Blood, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, Joker, Lucy, Bok Bok, Heidi, the Visionquest collective, Cassy and Steve Rachmad, with the latter two playing back-to-back. Veteran techno heads Regis and James Ruskin will team up as O/V/R, while recent Exchange subject Tiga has been billed to play a techno set. Steve Aoki and Steve Angello will headline, with a huge supporting cast of Dutch talent rounding out the bill.

In addition to the music program, the festival also offers attendees the chance to watch films at Nostalgia ("the world's smallest cinema") or check out an exhibition called Shit Art, where artists "turn toilets into objects of art." To get an idea of the kind of vibe you can expect at Mysteryland, check out the trailer below.

Pacha Festival 2013 will take place in Amsterdam on May 18th.

The day-long event—beginning at noon and going until 11:00 PM—will take over the man-made Java island on the east side of the city. This year it will feature the usual three stages, as well as a boat party designed in the theme of Pacha Ibiza's Flower Power night with resident DJ Piti. In typical Ibiza fashion, the festival offers VIP bottle service, as well as the traditional "Ibiza hippie market" with artisan crafts and goods.

The Open Air stage boasts some of the lineup's biggest names, including Roger Sanchez and Sander Kleinenberg but also a set from Kevin Saunderson with his Inner City band. John Digweed will headline the techno stage, alongside Cadenza's Reboot, Technasia and Gregor Tresher. The deep stage will host the ecstatic disco sounds of Tensnake, plus Dyed Soundorom, Deetron and others.

Larry Heard will release two out-of-print EPs, Stomp The Beat and 1990, through his own Alleviated Records.

Stomp The Beat was released in 1988 while 1990 followed a year later through Brett Wilcots and Jim Stivers's Gherkin Records imprint, which shut up shop in 1991. Heard will now reissue the EPs in partnership with Dutch label/distributor Clone Records, who say that both records have been digitally enhanced. You can listen to snippets of both Stomp The Beat and 1990 on Clone Distribution's SoundCloud page.
