- The duo will release the fourth volume in the Detroit Connection mix series next month.
The Detroit Grand Pubahs are set to release their debut mix CD in February.
The compilation is the fourth volume in the Matrix Music label's Detroit Connection series, following on from previous efforts by Kevin Saunderson, DJ 3000 and DJ Godfather. This isn't your usual mix CD, however, as the Pubahs' have peppered their charging technoid selections with live sax and vocals. The tracklisting may also raise a few eyebrows, with cuts from The Shapeshifters ("Chime") and Benga ("The Cut") nestled alongside techno classics by Underground Resistance and Joey Beltram.
The Pubahs' contribute one new track in the form of "Blacula's Drack," as well as exclusive edits that were composed on-the-fly during the mixing process. Anyone who's seen them live will know the drill: high energy techno with the focus firmly on having fun.
