  • Lo-fi electronic act Nite Jewel is set to re-release her debut album later this year. Entitled Good Evening, the record is a continuation of the sound that she has cultivated on hipster favorite Italians Do It Better and Gloriette—the label which first released Good Evening on vinyl last year. This version of Good Evening will be the first time that these songs have been available on CD and will come out on Human Ear, sometime home to fellow quirky lo-fi lover Ariel Pink. While Pink's sound is more indie, however, Nite Jewel takes cues from the sounds of modern R&B filtered through cosmic synth groups like Cluster and Harmonia, as well as—the PR claims, at least—"late '80s freestyle electro sensation Debbie Deb." Tracklist 01. Bottom Rung 02. Suburbia 03. What Did He Say 04. Weak for Me 05. Heart Won't Start 06. Universal Mind 07. Artificial Intelligence 08. Let's Go (The Two of Us Together) 09. Chimera 10. Lover Human Ear will release Nite Jewel's Good Evening on March 17, 2009.
