- The lo-fi producer will release her debut record on CD in March.
Lo-fi electronic act Nite Jewel is set to re-release her debut album later this year.
Entitled Good Evening, the record is a continuation of the sound that she has cultivated on hipster favorite Italians Do It Better and Gloriette—the label which first released Good Evening on vinyl last year. This version of Good Evening will be the first time that these songs have been available on CD and will come out on Human Ear, sometime home to fellow quirky lo-fi lover Ariel Pink.
While Pink's sound is more indie, however, Nite Jewel takes cues from the sounds of modern R&B filtered through cosmic synth groups like Cluster and Harmonia, as well as—the PR claims, at least—"late '80s freestyle electro sensation Debbie Deb."
