France has some new hardware to call its own: Daft Punk and Justice swept up the dance music categories at this year's Grammy Awards.

The two French groups were honored with statues at the pre-ceremony where the vast majority of the awards were handed out. Daft Punk came away with two: Best Electronic/Dance Album for Alive 2007 and Best Dance Recording for "Harder Better Faster Stronger," while their younger countrymen were honored in the remix category for their take on MGMT's "Electric Feel" beating out work by Deadmau5 (pictured), Stonebridge, Junkie XL and Moto Blanco.comment 10 Comments

Wed, 11 Feb 2009Also, I'll respect Daft Punk and Justice for the movement they started, but overall, finding out all the business awhile back about how they literally just lifted entire cuts from artists such as Goblin and Breakwater, was like finding out your grandparents are still having sex. Not Right. But then again, props to grandparents for still gettin down?

Wed, 11 Feb 2009I like what Minkay wrote. HAHA

Feelin the yawn, and disgust as to how watered down and unintelligent mainstream music has become.

Wed, 11 Feb 2009Did anyone really expect anything different? Benny Benassi beat out Carl Craig last year let us not forget. And did Deadmau5 wear the head to the grammys?
