Marcel Dettmann and
Martyn are among the many artists that Sonar has announced today will participate in the official festivities come June.
The Spanish festival let slip its major headliner,
Orbital, earlier this year, but this raft of acts once again proves that the festival has both its finger on the pulse and, at the same time, is eager to book acts that have some historical relevance as well. Jones, of course, qualifies as both, coming off a recent album that has won over many critics—complete with an RA-approved Aeroplane remix. She'll be joined at the great big warehouse for Sonar By Night (presumably) by the aforementioned Dettmann and Martyn,
Shed,
Joker,
Deadmau5,
Moderat and many others. (The line-ups delineating which artists will play day or night has not been released yet, but we're guessing that each doesn't quite work in the daylight hours. Especially Martyn, a DJ that
RA hosted at last year's Sonar.)
