Organisers of the Roskilde Festival have just announced that the
Pet Shop Boys will headline this year's event.
Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant originally made their first ever festival performance at 1997's Roskilde, and now they'll return to Denmark for a performance that will mix classic tracks with cuts from this year's
Yes album. Most of the line-up that has been announced so far is comprised of big international acts (such as Coldplay, Oasis and Kanye West) and smaller rock bands, but there are still some artists that should cater for electronic music fans.
The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson will perform her ice-cold electro-pop under her Fever Ray moniker, whilst fellow Scandinavians
Royksopp will also play live. Experimental Brooklyn trio
Black Dice will also be there to show off their
Repo album, but if you're looking for a more organic groove, then Afrobeat legend
Tony Allen should be right up your street. Lots more acts are yet to be announced, so we'll be sure to keep you posted.
