Toulouse's Les Siestes Electroniques festival have unveiled the full line-up for their seventh annual event.
Over the course of June 26-29, the French city will play host to all sort of electronically charged exhibitions and workshops, but what festival would be complete without a few old fashioned parties? The first night's bash takes place at the city's Garonne Theatre, and will feature a live set of experimental minimalism from Raster-Noton's Alva Noto before the vibe is taken up a notch by performances from electro-house noiseniks Suicide Club and Fukkk Off later on in the evening. Saturday's show - again at Garonne - focuses more on twisted modern pop, with lo-fi guitar hero Ariel Pink rubbing shoulders with French synth-pop wizard Anoraak, but house and techno fans will undoubtedly be more interested in the third day of the festival, which takes place in two halves.
The first is a free open air show at Prairie Des Filtres during the afternoon that'll be rounded off by a set of groovy house from Panorama Bar resident Prosumer, whilst Isolee, DJ Koze and Dial boss Lawrence will man the controls at Le Bikini later on that evening. The end of the weekend doesn't spell the end for Les Siestes Electroniques, however, as ex-Pitchfork writer Dominique Leone (who was partly responsible for the prog-disco opus "Clairevoyage" on Lindstrom's Feedelity label) and Glaswegian hip-pop innovator Hudson Mohawke will bring the festival to a close on the Monday night.
