  • London-based record shop and label Honest Jon's are set to venture into clubland next week with a show at Plastic People. Over the last few years, Honest Jon's has strengthened its relationship with Berlin's Hard Wax record store, seeking out Moritz von Oswald's mastering expertise as well as bolstering each other's distribution networks. Therefore, it makes total sense that Honest Jon's are set to bring over Basic Channel member and Hard Wax owner Mark Ernestus for a show in the capital. Taking place on Thursday 7th May, the party will also feature a live set from clinical minimal techno merchant Sleeparchive, and a DJ set from techno legend DJ Pete (AKA Substance), both of whom are long-term employees of Ernestus at Hard Wax. Ernestus rarely ventures over to the UK for live performances, so fans of the Basic Channel, Rhythm & Sound and Chain Reaction legacy are strongly urged to venture out for this midweek shindig, which should make the most of Plastic People's much-lauded soundsystem. Tickets are close to selling out, so interested parties should head over to the Honest Jons site to secure their spot in the club.
