Last time we caught up with you, you were working on a few things, notably the final stages of your second LP. How does it sound? It's running a bit late—when are we going to hear it?
I know, I know—I'm working on it! Music is a gradual process, and this [release] has so many more elements and musicians compared to
Working Night$. The second LP
In the Red is diverse in its sound; a full journey through many spectrums of my musical taste. The music will reach an even wider taste pallete this time round, and really reflect how my musical pallete keeps evolving each year. I have been booked every weekend for as long as I can remember now, and this is a new skill I'm learning to adapt to; the fine balance between production and a DJ schedule is a fine art.
You also mentioned the Disco 3000 festival you've been working on, penned in for September this year. Has anything exciting developed, or has it been business as usual?

The website is ready to be launched with interviews musicians from the past, present and future, along with podcasts from various labels and acts involved with the festival—it's a full-on magazine. I feel like we have brought a true global festival to the underground music scene, conjuring the best music promoters, labels and club nights we have worked with over the years. We felt there was no longer a need for the huge DJ name to bring the crowd. The festival runs around established organisations across the globe for one cause, the music. They will bring their loyal followers who believe and trust in their residents and labels. What more can you ask for from a festival?
How is the ATP residency going? Have you found that you approach a set in New York with the usual mindset, or have you been approaching them differently?
I've been very lucky with NYC. I've been there so many times now that I have good friends that helped me learn to adapt to the city's taste. NYC in part is a city that loves to, firstly, dance, secondly, be entertained, and thirdly, be challenged. This is the whole ethos of Disco 3000—open minded music for the eyes-down peeps. My approach is like with any night a journey through music past, present and the future, you have to tell a story.
Will you be serving up any brand new treats while on your Australian tour? Is there any new Prime Numbers material that you'll be showcasing?
