Leeds promoters Wax:on host their first Magicbag party at the Victoria Works warehouse next month.

The bash will see the main room taken over by the dark tech-house tones of Viva owner Steve Lawler, Dusty Kid and local hero Paul Woolford, but if you prefer your tech-house with a lighter, more melodic touch, then you'll most likely be drawn to the Diynamic Music showcase in the second room. Label co-founder Solomun will be joined by sometime collaborator Stimming, while Compost's Jay Shepheard (who contributed a track to the Diynamic's Saturday I'm In Love compilation) will bring his cosmic house stylings to Leeds for the first time. As if that wasn't enough, disco lovers will be well catered to in room three, with both Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani of Metro Area joining Belgian balearic bods Aeroplane behind the decks.

Tickets are currently available to purchase directly through RA Tickets.

Tue, 09 Jun 2009Big let down, and a shame that Woolford only played for 30 minutes before it all ended rather abruptly. Did Dusty Kid even turn up?

Tue, 09 Jun 2009Spent a lot of money to come to this night also inviting friends from Birmingham to travel the distance. Was disapointed to find out one of the main attractions that warranted a £16 ticket fee was a no show. Stimming now in the main room playing tracks from his Reflections release, although I like his style I find him a little too relaxed for a main room. Bored and really pissed off I went to complain, get a refund and find out the event was running it self without any promotion staff. ?!?!... More
