Former Lazy Fat Person Mirko Loko will have the honor of releasing the second artist album on the Cadenza imprint later this year.

Following in the footsteps of Los Updates' 2008 First If You Please, Cadenza will once again invite a newcomer to the imprint to release a full-length. Loko was formerly one-half of production duo Lazy Fat People, but stepped out onto his own last year with a 12-inch for Desolat.

According to the press release Loko's Cadenza effort, Seventynine, sounds much the same as his solo work on Desolat: It's a collection of tracks that "celebrate the communal ideal of dance music with spirited, percussive tracks." But while Loko aims for the dance floor, he also reportedly is found "ducking into shadowy corners in search of more private emotions."

Tracklist
01. Sidonia
02. Around The Angel
03. Love Harmonic
04. On Fire
05. Astral Vaccum
06. Blue Book
07. Shadow
08. Takhtok
09. Le Monologue d’Orfeu
10. Altrove
11. You Know Where

Cadenza will release SeventyNine on June 22, 2009.

Thu, 02 Sep 2010Wow, the reviewer is pretty brutal. I guess I dont know as much about the technicalities, but this album sounds sh*t hot to me. One of the best minimal techno producers around
9/10

Awesome 10 minutes mind trip track.

Fri, 16 Oct 2009Album of the year...
Abstract, deep, has that free flow jazzy approach.
Great rhythm programing, etno motives, Balkans (come from there) and he choose great motives.
It just gets you into the tip and rolls, rolls, a real journey!!!

Mon, 12 Oct 2009I agree with quite a few people on here, it is quite a dull album imo.
Some of the tracks like On Fire are great to mix ontop of other tracks, but the album itself does nothing for me.

Mon, 12 Oct 2009Man, I almost never disagree when the critics give a resounding (at best) 'meh,' but I have to say, I think this album is just a total triumph. One of the albums of the year. Many will think me insane. Perhaps I am, but I keep coming back to it, just loving those gauzy melodies in the upper register with the percolating, Cadenza percussion underneath. Just stunning... Perhaps with time there will be vindication, although, in truth, I think not...
