- The Hamburg imprint has just released the first salvo of its new vinyl-only imprint.
RA's 2007 label of the year, Dial Records, have announced the formation of a sublabel.
The imprint is called Laid, and the focus will be on the preservation of vinyl culture and, of course, quality music. To the question of the former, Laid will only make its work available on wax. The latter is being handled in its first stages by Detroit producer Rick Wade, who has produced three tracks of "contemporary deep house music" for the label. With avowed fan of the Detroit sound, Dor Levi, guiding the label along with the Dial braintrust, we can likely expect much more from the Motor City in the future.
