  • Manchester's El Diablo's Social Club will have an extra reason to make the most of the Bank Holiday this Sunday, as they'll be celebrating their sixth birthday. Taking place at Grosvenor Road's Deaf Institute, the bash will see the venue's doors open early at 8 PM as they'll be hosting a live set from funky Mancunian post-punk legends A Certain Ratio. The Factory Records act were one of the regular fixtures at the now defunct Hacienda club, and they'll be playing this hometown date before jetting over to Spain for this year's Primavera festival. El Diablo's favourite Toby Tobias will also return to Manchester with his box of house and disco delights, whilst Rong Music's DJ Spun will also make an appearance. The New York-based DJ rarely plays any dates in the UK, so Manchester's disco diggers are well advised to go and check out the man do his thing on the Diablo decks.
