WMC 2010 : Shelborne Hotel

Leipzig's Melt! Festival have announced their final line-up additions for their twelfth event this July.

As we announced in our previous article, Aphex Twin and Florian Hecker will headline the event, with heavy presences from Kompakt (DJ Koze, Sascha Funke, Tobias Thomas, Matias Aguayo), BPitch Control (who'll be celebrating ten years in the business by taking over a stage for the last two days) and Innervisions, but there's been a whole raft of names that have been freshly confirmed to complete the bill.

Energetic punk funkers !!! will bring a taste of New York to Saturday night's proceedings, whilst psychedelic indie darlings Animal Collective will also play the main stage on the same night before Gallic popsters Phoenix. Deadmau5, Brodinski and Yuksek will strengthen what's looking like a strong line-up for electro-house fans, but there'll also be plenty of extra house and techno from Dinky, ND Baumecker, Luna City Express and Ruede Hagelstein. The really exciting prospect, however, is Matthew Herbert, who'll be leaving his Big Band behind for a rare DJing appearance on the Big Wheel Floor during Friday evening's proceedings. comment 56 Comments
